SOCCERROO FOX Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 How can you represent Holland in the T20 world cup then 2 months later play for Australia in T20 internationals . Daft He is as Aussie as they come. I did question this apprantly if your a duel passport holder you can play for a lesser nation ie. Holland and then play for Australia. But you can't play for a superior nation then drop back to play for a similar or lesser nation. He has represented Australia in down hill skiing before at an international level. If Big Dirty Dirk opens the bowling with Peter Siddle and somehow Darren Patterson gets an English recall i will be in dream land........especially if skipper Cam White gets a place in the one day team.
Ultra Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 At least Bell has got some runs at county level this week. Currently 92 not out in Warwickshire's 2nd innings..
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 Read an Article today over hear that 42 yr old Stewy Law who has played one test and quite a few one dayers for Australia has put his hand up for you guys
dandannieldanok Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 Read an Article today over hear that 42 yr old Stewy Law who has played one test and quite a few one dayers for Australia has put his hand up for you guys Looks about the best option at the minute, that offer still open?
Fosse Boy Posted 14 August 2009 Posted 14 August 2009 I would have certainly considered Law as a serious option the moment he became England qualified. At any rate he should have made the England Twenty20 side a couple of years back.
surrifox Posted 15 August 2009 Posted 15 August 2009 He's a copper in Barbados I think when he's not playing, I bet that's a hard job. harder than you think- he lives in (and plays for) Bermuda
Fox You Forest Posted 15 August 2009 Posted 15 August 2009 harder than you think- he lives in (and plays for) Bermuda I know, just an error. Given his size it's pretty obvious he doesn't do much.
Matt Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Final Ashes Test Squad; Strass © Anderson Bell Broad Collingwood Cook Flintoff Harmison Onions Panesar Prior Sidebottom Swann Trott
Sparky Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Trott will make test debut batting at 4 with Bell batting at 3
Salieri Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 'Fraid we're gonna lose this one folks. On balance of play we're lucky to be drawing the series going into the deciding test. I do of course, hope that i'm emphatically wrong!
Ultra Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 It will need a massive change of fortune from Headingley. Maybe Flintoff's return will turn the tide, but I'm not optimistic.

What did he do, jack off an ECB member? Has been due a call up since the second test. Happy days, hope he plays.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 +1 come on australia, the ashes belong to usalso, soccerroo, GO BOMBERS! what a win, best of luck for the finals Best not mention that
melbourne_foxes Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 Best not mention that sorry mate, not like your season's over though, and my teams record still stands
Tejmal Posted 19 August 2009 Posted 19 August 2009 Final Ashes Test Squad;Strass © Anderson Bell Broad Collingwood Cook Flintoff Harmison Onions Panesar Prior Sidebottom Swann Trott There are too many bowlers and only a few good batsmen Strauss, Bell, Collingwood, Prior and Flintoff are the only good batsmen England should only keep 3 from the following Harmison, Sidebottom, Onions or Trott
Edmund Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Teams (probable) England: 1 Andrew Strauss (capt), 2 Alastair Cook, 3 Ian Bell, 4 Paul Collingwood, 5 Jonathan Trott, 6 Matt Prior (wk), 7 Andrew Flintoff, 8 Stuart Broad, 9 Graeme Swann, 10 James Anderson, 11 Steve Harmison. Australia: 1 Simon Katich, 2 Shane Watson, 3 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Michael Hussey, 5 Michael Clarke, 6 Marcus North, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Stuart Clark, 10 Peter Siddle, 11 Ben Hilfenhaus. Looks like Sidebottom is going to miss out.

Fox You Forest Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Don't agree with it but is more likely Yep backwards move I think.
Brainy Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 to answer your earlier question, I think Sidebottom has been unfit for most of the year. until recently.
