Kilworthfox Posted 24 June 2009 Posted 24 June 2009 I am looking for some new boots! I have some Copa Mundials but I am definitely in need of a pit stop for the new season. Since the last time I decided to buy some boots there seems to be loads more choice after looking on prodirectsoccer.com, with names like Joma, Pantofola D'ora, Uhlsport, Under Armour, all making boots which are easily available to add to the already recognised brands. I was wondering if you could tell me what you have got and why you think they are good? I am looking for a firm ground boot at present which is light and has a smooth front rather than the ridges you find with the cheap boots

Bert Posted 24 June 2009 Posted 24 June 2009 Depends on what type of player you are really. Pair of Kings would do you Kilworth.

StanSP Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 Not a fan of Nike Boots these days. Had to replace them before realising that the fabric part of the boot is made out of rotted beneath the surface, causing it to smell disgusting. So I'm not sure whether they have changed it (they got hundreds of complaints) but I wouldn't get Nike ones. Adidas for me
C-man Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 I've gone foreign this season after three years with red Merc Vapors. Pantofola d'oro. Beautiful.
JoeyB Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 Couldn't find one so here it goes, if there is one please merge! What Boots are people getting for next season? Tempted with some Preds but not sure which ones!

Ozwin Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 Bought these pretty boy nob head boots the other day, they're awesome. Proper ones as well, £33 in JJB. They have a half price or less sale on so get your arse down there and have a look. I'm sure you'll find some you want.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 I went in JJB the other day and was pretty disappointed with what they had. Tonnes of Vapours but nothing more really. Pro-Direct have some beastly deals going atm. Proper leather Kings, £40? BARGAIN.
Ozwin Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 I don't like boots that feel bulky, I don't feel like I can kick the ball properly like I can with a pair of astro turf trainers. That's why I like the slimmer, fitted Nike boots. Feel like my touch and everything is improved with them.

Ozwin Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 I had similar ones to them before the Murcs. The ones Tevez wore a few seasons back, white with a blue tick. They were alright, still a little bulky though.
JoeyB Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 I find the boots like the F50+ and Vapours are too light weight and can't get the power i want behind my shots.
