And I've been Fan Club which was alright. Yates' is full of chavs usually. My favourite bars are Terrace, Time Bar (London Road), Revolution, Slug & Lettuce, Sumo. Having being going out in Leicester for 4 years I don't really appreciate the clubs anymore, both life and liquid are ok. I avoid mosh at all costs. manilla is supposed to be ok but is pricey. Fan club is a laugh, mainly because it's the only place you can buy a can in a bar! Zanzibar is full of black blokes that look like they will stab you, avoid it. I don't think I will ever go in there again

Walkabout's always decent, never really too busy but a bit expensive, there's Lloyds which is cheap, near the marketplace, but it's massive, and pretty decent in there tbh, not too long to get served. Mosh is decent, three floors so if you don't like something you can just go to a different floor. It's not all Goths/Emos in there though as the name would imply. Liquid/Envy is good, gone off it a bit recently due to hating the DJ TWAT on Saturdays, it's about 15% more chavvy than Life but on the whole it's a decent place, Milktray will concurr. The singalongs at the end always leave you going out thinking it was a decent night. NEVER GO TO ZANZIBAR EVER IN YOUR LIFE IT'S FUCKING SHITE. That's the one place I would advise you to avoid like the plague. *Forgot Sophbeck, always worth a punt. Hush is alright as well.

I thought I was going to get attacked just queing there. And I can't understand why they do that on Thursdays, normally a pretty popular night in town, Life is always packed.

It doesn't happen at Life ever, or any other club I can remember apart from Zanzibar

My African homie from work goes in Zanzibar, so I'd definetly prefer it to mongole city (Fan Club) I reckon Panic is the best night out in Leicester though, from my experiences anyway.

Ps, don't take the missus to The Aviary

Panic was decent, then they made it weekly, didn't they, but is it back to monthly now? Weekly would kill it a bit I think.

Food is superb, probably one of the best modern british restaurants in Leicester. Mai Yango is also a really nice place to eat and drink. The bar downstairs in the Quarter is also swanky like you said, dont expect much change from a fiver for a pint. But you pay that premium for not seeing any Rockports I guess

Fanclub can be ok whereas Liquids decent enough but the DJ ruins everything. Terrace is ok but it's far too mature and laid back for me, drinks are a rip and all, slowly growing to Walkabout as a starter had a few decent shifts in there now. Done a 4-6 in Sophbeck before and its complete filth.

I used to go in Lallie Bellas quite a bit as well but that's gone now, which is a bit of a shame.

We used to go Last Plantagenet and drink After shock and Red Bull and vodka until we were sick. On a Monday night it'd be Rack n Roll followed by a burger at Ali Vels. They always soted us out with free garlic bread. When we felt like being a bit more upmarket we'd go to Turkish Cafe. Also used to go Ponana quite a bit (that still open?). Used to do some quality hip hop nights there. And who could forget the under 18's nights at Mosquito Coast off our heads on 20-20. Once we sorted fake ID's/turned 18, we were quite fond of Flaming Collosus, which had about 5 different names in 2 years. The place near the prison, think it's just abandoned now. Ahh, memories!

As long as I'm in good company, I'm happy, because it's what you make of the night that will define whether you have a good time - Unless you're in the Highcross.

Have a mate that's never even been Mosh before but everytime we even mention it he gets proper pissed off. It's always rammed in there on Tuesdays.
Maybes Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Try to aviod life/liquid these days ful of cockends usually. Haven't been in Zanzibar since I was 17. Fan Club/Clunge is alright music can be a bit shite at times. Quite a fan of Superfly these days, plays more electro house music. Ive been Mosh, is*** very indie-fied but I had a good night in there. Everyone seemed to be chilled unlike liquid/life where you look at someone and they want a fight with you. Bars - Terrace, Time Bar, Marz is ok, Walkabout. Forget the dirty drug hole that is sophbec - can be good if your flying of your tits
