Bert Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 i've seen you in Marz before you little raver Man about town me.
Tommeh Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Tuesday's IS Soar point - Mosh. Brilliant, even LD3's done it! I really need to start getting on that again. Loads of people pre-judge Mosh without ever going there, don't like it change room/floor thats why I don't mind Fanclub either.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Ive been Mosh, isn't very indie-fied but I had a good night in there. Everyone seemed to be chilled unlike liquid/life where you look at someone and they want a fight with you.Bars - Terrace, Time Bar, Marz is ok, Walkabout. That is true. Also you don't get the freshen up twats hassling you when you're trying to have a leak. Is Time the one near the train station?
Tommy G Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 That is true. Also you don't get the freshen up twats hassling you when you're trying to have a leak.Is Time the one near the train station? Yeh right next door, its an awesome bar especially outside. Looks like a right dive from the outside, but it deceives you. Does decent cocktails
Maybes Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Yeh right next door, its an awesome bar especially outside. Looks like a right dive from the outside, but it deceives you. Does decent cocktails Yeah it looks like a right hole that would be occupied by scabs. When you get inside is nicely fitted out and very spacious.
Tommeh Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Subway has to make an appearance on all nights out also and a pissed up Gala shift is a laugh. Also the pointlessly wondering around at 3/4am - Managed to meet the ultimate Louis Saha lookalike last night and a Shefki Kuqi impersonater doing the belly flop's onto the tarmack under clock tower. Congradulated Weso for his 3rd against Fulham, again and Uncle Albert told Sheehan to fook off.

Bet he felt that this morning
Samilktray Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Alivels after a night out, seems to be the happening place.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Alivels after a night out, seems to be the happening place. Is that that place near Megazone that looks rundown, like something from Vietnam? *And Pinnochio's is clearly THE place.

Tevez Posted 26 June 2009 Author Posted 26 June 2009 Yes Lazee did perform at Life last night. I hope Milkytray has heard some of his tunage.

hairy Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 When I was lad we used to go to The Helsinki bar (near the Curve) and then once a month on a Thursday to Street Life for straight night. Starlight 2001 used to good on a Friday for house in the backroom. There was also 24 (Vin Quatre) at the bottom of New Walk. Mostly a pub was a pub when I was young. No bars.
The Birch Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Agree with people advising to avoid Zanzibar. Used to go to life alot, sick of it now, went there last week for the first time in a while and they were still playing the same music they were playing 6 months ago. Liquid is alright but also a bit repetitive music wise. I like fanclub apart from the fact it ruins your shoes, dont know what they put on that floor. Not a fan of mosh but alot of people like it, have only been a few times. I liked Audio when I went which has only recently opened, thought the music was good and not the same old stuff you get in life/liquid every week. They have different djs on, seb fontain, artful dodger and utah saints were on near to when it opened. I've not been since then so don't know what its like now. In terms of bars usually go to slug and lettuce, revolution, time bar, walkabout. Used to go to parody/varsity for the cheap drink deals but would rather go to a nicer bar and pay a bit more these days.

I emailed you earlier numpty on your hotmail..
Bellend Sebastian Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 For any of the older generation on here where did you used to go?We used to go Last Plantagenet and drink After shock and Red Bull and vodka until we were sick. On a Monday night it'd be Rack n Roll followed by a burger at Ali Vels. They always soted us out with free garlic bread. When we felt like being a bit more upmarket we'd go to Turkish Cafe. Also used to go Ponana quite a bit (that still open?). Used to do some quality hip hop nights there. And who could forget the under 18's nights at Mosquito Coast off our heads on 20-20. Once we sorted fake ID's/turned 18, we were quite fond of Flaming Collosus, which had about 5 different names in 2 years. The place near the prison, think it's just abandoned now. Ahh, memories! I used to go to the Fanclub when it was a proper indie club, which it isn't now, from what I hear. It died on its arse when Mosh opened. I daren't go to Mosh because some of my friends, who are only a couple of years older than me, have been turned away from there apparently for being too old - I always thought it was too bloody loud in there anyway, which probably proves I am too. Once in a blue moon I used to go to Alcatraz/Oxygen, which I believe has now been absorbed into the Fanclub, but I've not been there since that happened. Before the Fanclub we would sometimes go to Jaceys, which someone told me the other day is now a gay bar. Mr Yummys was a very strange bar set back from Belgrave Gate, which mad biker bloke Chas (that used to have a slot on Radio Leicester) used to run, and we all thought that was ace until there were some weird neo-nazi blokes in there with German army helmets and stuff

Unit Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Everywhere in Leicester is shit, I don't go out anymore. If i do it's to the highcross pub as it is cheap as shit or to just a pub for a few. asda vodka at home is the way to go
Uncle Albert Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Made my Leicester debut last night after the Prom! Was alot different from Loughborough but I can't say which one is better after only going Life, even though me, Tommeh and Shaun got a free bottle of Champagne. Seemed alright in Life though, music was quality but it was a right cockfest. After Life was the best part went McDonalds for a bite to eat but turned into a great laugh, seen Wesolowski outside so went for a chat and he said he wanted to stay at Leicester and Setanta going bust ballsed his move to Scotland. Then bigman Alan Sheehan came over and tried to be cool so I told him to do one (in a more aggresive way). Idiot. Some blokes were slide tackling each other aswell. Great night, will be hitting Leicester after holiday.

Been meaning to go but I wouldn't know where it is.
