Basement on Fridays have started doing a Indie/Alternative night - started this weekend didn't get busy till 1 a.m. but cost squat to get in and the music was actually really great. Saturdays are always rammed in there but Friday nights in town are crap and dying - have been for ages, but this was alright. Place has had a face lift too. No nob heads good crowd and atmosphere, everybody was searched on the way in and I.D'd it was open till 6am. http://www.thebasementbar.co.uk/
