lou Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 This is true. There used to be a guy in Krystals (as it was), always in early doors, dressed in a white suit, and he would go and dance, on his own, in the middle of the dance floor. Every week he would be there. Was he a Black geezer? If so I know him and have done for many years - hes a legend!
lou Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 I don't go out in Leicester at night any more. I'm too old for that. TSK!!! You are deffo not too old! Forgot to mention, there were loads of 40+ folk (men and women) in the Fan Club on Saturday.I'm going there again next month on an 80s night. I suspect it'll be the same then. Thats the only place in Leicester Id probably go now Im over 40. Theres plenty of oldies in there plus I like the music

Theres plenty of oldies in there plus I like the music Plenty of 'oldies' in Manilla too, although not keen on that. Leicester really doesn't have any places that make you think 'Wow, can't wait til I go there' or 'Wow can't wait til I go there again' It's all about the company you're with than the places to go, that makes it a good night out!

I don't think he was, although he always wore big shades, and it was hard to see his face properly!!
Tilley Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 Liquid was pretty damn good this weekend. Must say, I enjoy Friday nights more than Saturdays in there.
Samilktray Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 Liquid was pretty damn good this weekend.Must say, I enjoy Friday nights more than Saturdays in there. Saturdays up town are whack.
Tilley Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 Does anyone know if it's a £1 a drink in Life on a Sunday night?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 Yeah great relaxed atmosphere in Mosh again last night. Although I'm sure my mate who ended up going home with blood pouring from his nose / lip all down his shirt after being twatted by some **** outside who thought he was in Fight Club will disagree. None of us chose to carry on with anything though, and I stayed well clear. Give some people a few drinks and all of a sudden they're Lennox Lewis.

Should of reported it to the coppers, theres usually plenty about and got the lad done for assult.
haraven Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Not always necessary to provoke someone. Unfortunately some wobbleheads can't handle their liquor and turns into rabid muppets after a few drinks. Split personality motherfeckers if you ask me. Oh yes, I met one of them in Leicester after a night out there a few years back. What is the name of that "Australian" bar downtown? Had a few pints there back in 1999. If anyone know of that place, or if it still excists. . Further up that street there was another bar that was quite sad to visit, in the middle of the day lots of drunk parents all over with their kids just running around inside the bar. What a place.
Samilktray Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 What is the name of that "Australian" bar downtown? Had a few pints there back in 1999. Walkabout? The most overrated bar in Leicester.
Dr The Singh Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Walkabout? The most overrated bar in Leicester. To be honest most bars in Leicester are shyte!!!!

James. Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Walkabout? The most overrated bar in Leicester. Do some people actually rate Walkabout then? Fuck me, things must be bad.
Samilktray Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Do some people actually rate Walkabout then? Fuck me, things must be bad. Most people my age think its the best thing since sliced bread.
Tabou Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Most people my age think its the best thing since sliced bread. I'm 21 and I think it's shit. I was out in Flores, Fat Cats and Terrace on Friday night (and Friday lunchtime come to mention it...) That was decent.
haraven Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Walkabout? The most overrated bar in Leicester. Ah - thanks. Well, I was a tourist, I just popped into the first place I could find. Even forgot my bag with Leicester gear I had gotten from the Leicester shop at Filbert Street, ran back in panic and it was still there. I hear Counting House is not popular anymore either? Also visited a true Leicester City pub not from from Filbert Street - a real ramshackle of a place with some die hard Leicester fans inside. Nice blokses, but I had 2 friends with me who don't support Leicester and they didn't really love it there.

Is that places any good, its Tapas isn't it Always pass it en route to Revo's and i looks pretty nice from the outside.
Tabou Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Is that places any good, its Tapas isn't it Always pass it en route to Revo's and i looks pretty nice from the outside. Yeah it was quality to be honest. Only went there for lunch, but had a bit of food (Tapas). Nice atmosphere, nice decor, and saw my old science teacher on the way out. She recognised me and went to say hi. Never liked her so I just left.
Tilley Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Walkabout is usually awful, but it was decent Friday night, couldn't move.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 So what did your mate do to provoke him? Should of reported it to the coppers, theres usually plenty about and got the lad done for assult. My mate did fuck all, actually. This lad is carrying a drink (inside), and he drops it. My mate offers to pay for another in apology and this lad keeps telling him to "fuck off", next thing I know he throws a punch at him, for some reason we were the ones that got thrown out. We explained what hapened to the bouncers and were set to go home, then this scrot comes outside and tries it on again. Weakest punch I've ever seen from someone trying to act like they're in UFC or something. He was with one mate, I think there was seven of us, I just stayed out of it. Don't think I'm a retard, my brother rang the police as soon as it happened, they came along and did the usual. There's just no reasoning with some people when they're pissed. Even the bouncers said that some people need to know when they've had enough, he's been in there before and is a bit of a troublemaker.
Tilley Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 it is quite unlikely that you would get punched for no reason whatsoever. Not normal behaviour Really? You'd be suprised. All it takes is accidently bumping into someone and fists start flying. Some people are just utter cocks.
Samilktray Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 If someone knocks my J20, I start windmilling motherfuckers.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Really? You'd be suprised. All it takes is accidently bumping into someone and fists start flying. Some people are just utter cocks. Exactly. This guy was just out looking for a fight. His friend even acknowledged what a cock he was acting.
Sparky Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Walkabout is usually awful, but it was decent Friday night, couldn't move. I was in friday as i am most fridays , must have been steaming as i parted with 3 and half quid for some photo , mug <_<
