AjcW Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 I dont particularly like Cristiano but I feel as a fan of football its necessary to tune in to this "show" "performance" at the bernabeu tonight. Will you be watching SSN at 8pm Tonight??
lildave3 Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 I am indeed. Still disappointed we won't get to see him in the Premiership next year.

AjcW Posted 6 July 2009 Author Posted 6 July 2009 And people wonder why he went. It certainly is a beautiful sight that stadium full of fans.

AjcW Posted 6 July 2009 Author Posted 6 July 2009 I know, not the same though. Coverage on Real Madrid tv of the press conference is much better than ssn(well its full screen anyway )
Koke Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 Anyone watching the live press conference from Madrid right now? I'm happy for the lad. I hope he does well.
Bert Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 He looked so happy when he entered the stadium. Like Ben, I'm gutted he won't be in the Prem next season.
AjcW Posted 6 July 2009 Author Posted 6 July 2009 Looks better in white ey... .... To be fair good luck to him. Im more of a Barca boy but i will enjoy watch madrid next season.
Shrenchel Posted 6 July 2009 Posted 6 July 2009 Who was that kid?? Not his is it?? Did they just stick him there so Chris could slobber all over him for extra cheesy cvnt points?? He'll probably be a brown addict in 15 years time, ebaying that ball for 20,000 euros.

The man so blatantly wants to emulate Beckham's fame it has actually become embarrassing. Cheesy photos with kids in matching kits are just one example of it. The problem with this is that Ronaldo, unlike the more humble Beckham, has never come across as anything but a prize cvnt. A brilliant footballer yes, but a brilliant bloke? No way. That's why Ronaldo will never attain the level of hero worship across the world as other Real Madrid stars of the past like Zidane, Beckham or his Brazilian namesake.
Fox You Forest Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 They asked the kid who his favourite player was and he answered 'Kaka'.

Ah yeah, the original Ronaldo was a saint. He tipped this trannie prostitute really well, apparently.

Remind me again, when did Beckham win World Player of the Year? And of course, Beckham and his family have never indulged in a cheap publicity stunt in their lives...
Darkzzz_ Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 Whilst I hope he doesn't do too well in La Liga for obvious reasons, It sure is going to be a magical season. I am just worried for the defenders, La Liga isn't exactly known for it's world class defending and with Real Madrid and Barcelona to face, I think some defenders had better get back to school, sharpish. Ronaldo should do well in La Liga, his pot shot at the Premiership must have upset a few of his loyal bumboys fans.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 Ah yeah, the original Ronaldo was a saint. He tipped this trannie prostitute really well, apparently. Never said the original Ronaldo was a saint. It only really began to go tits up for him after the 2006 World Cup when everybody could see when that he was now fat and past it. In his heyday at Real though, a global megastar. Remind me again, when did Beckham win World Player of the Year? And of course, Beckham and his family have never indulged in a cheap publicity stunt in their lives... Read my post again and you'll see that I've said Ronaldo has aped Beckham by indulging in a cheap publicity stunt. As for Beckham not winning World Player of the Year, you're missing the point like you did in the Most Recognised Sportsman thread. Beckham has an air of likeability and humility that Ronaldo doesn't, the latter's arrogance that oozes from his every pore sees to that.
Ultra Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 Read my post again and you'll see that I've said Ronaldo has aped Beckham by indulging in a cheap publicity stunt. Ronaldo doesn't need to "ape" or "emulate" Beckham in anything - he's already achieved more in his career than Beckham has - apart from winning La Liga, which he shouldn't have to wait too long for. As for Beckham not winning World Player of the Year, you're missing the point like you did in the Most Recognised Sportsman thread. Beckham has an air of likeability and humility that Ronaldo doesn't, the latter's arrogance that oozes from his every pore sees to that. Beckham has proved on any number of occasions that he is EVERY bit as manipulative, narcissistic and arrogant as Ronaldo (though perhaps a little more subtle). Ask Landon Donovan or any other LA Galaxy player.
Koke Posted 7 July 2009 Posted 7 July 2009 Ask Landon Donovan or any other LA Galaxy player. Landon who? Isn't this the same prick who got transferred to Germany, but couldn't hack it there cos he was fucking cack? And then he decided to play it safe and return back to the MLS where he was the biggest star before Beckham arrived. The man is a choker and a bottler. He's 27 years old and he's still in the MLS - get out of here. Beckham is more humble and nice, and thus he's a more likeable character. No one has said he has more ability than Ronaldo.
