Libertine Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 This may have turned into a favourite film rather than best film to be ever made thread. Well it should be really.
Fox92 Posted 11 July 2009 Posted 11 July 2009 .. Forgot to say, Jungle Book - Legendary film, watched it last night
BoneDog Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 These films are masterpieces : True Romance Scarface Leon Friday So I Married an Axe Murderer
Libertine Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 These films are masterpieces :True Romance Scarface Leon Friday So I Married an Axe Murderer I first saw that some time in the late 90s without knowing the name of it. For over 10 years I was wondering what it was until it was on SkyMovies last year.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 I haven't even seen it, but I imagine it's this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey_Trouble It's got Harvey Keitel in it for Chrissakes. There's always Caravan of Courage - An Ewok Adventure As for Independence Day, I remember letting loose an involuntary cry of anguish in the cinema at the bit when the President climbs into the fighter jet. I PAID MONEY TO SEE THAT. ACTUAL MONEY
Guest Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 As for Independence Day, I remember letting loose an involuntary cry of anguish in the cinema at the bit when the President climbs into the fighter jet. I PAID MONEY TO SEE THAT. ACTUAL MONEY The fire alarm went off when we went to see that film, and we discussed going to the pub instead of going back in. Stupidly, we decided against the pub, on the basis that we'd paid to see the film. It is a decision I still regret to this day.
Libertine Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 Independence Day is a guilty pleasure for me I admit. Some bits are retarded, but I still enjoy it. Classic punch.
lou Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 Too many to remember and choose from but a few of my personal faves... The Usual Suspects Taxi Driver Shawshank Redemption Crash

What was particularly upsetting about that film is that the trailers and all the publicity made it look really good, and it's not actually that bad until quite a way into it when it just unravels into one of the biggest turds I've ever seen, as if the director suffered a head injury midway through filming. It didn't stop us going to see their next steamer, Godzilla. We had free tickets for it, but I still shouted out that I wanted my money back - no one in the place seemed to mind. For reasons never properly fathomed, when I first got Sky Movies I watched it about 6 times. If you watch it enough, it seems slightly less shit - I think you learn to just gawp at the special effects and ignore all the parts when the actors actually speak
Flynny Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 Independence day is a guilty pleasure, but then I've not seen it since I was about 12. I watched Twins on ITV4 last night and quite enjoyed it before literally similtaneously shitting myself and vomiting everywhere in disgust at what I've become.
BoneDog Posted 13 July 2009 Posted 13 July 2009 Carlitos' WayQuadraphoenia Internal Affairs Yes, great film. You gotta love Sean Penns hair! He looks like this woman I used to share a house with when he got that tight perm

For over 10 years I was wondering what it was until it was on SkyMovies last year. The Dad in that film is one of the funniest movie characters ever I think. Proper old school Scottish dad. When he sings Rod Stewart on karaoke I ball everytime! Myers is quality
