davieG Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 From sky today: 14.45 Andy King's agent has dismissed claims that Aston Villa have lodged a bid for Leicester's highly-rated Wales international midfielder.
Babylon Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 From sky today But he added... "please please please please come and bid for him" whilst rubbing his hands with glee.
General Smuts Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 I would like to add to the debate on how good our midfield was last season & now is.... by suggesting that the only player of real quality that we have, who I am truly proud of wearing the shirt is Tunchev! God knows how everyones forgotten Jack Hobbs. (And Chris Powell.)

It's never about money and it's not about Villa." Fair play if that's how he really feels.
MPH Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 Nice one, Andy.... good luck for the season!!!! Just do what you did last season and it will be Oakleys place in doubt, not yours!
lcfc_jme Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 "I would like to assure all the Leicester fans that Andy's immediate response without any hesitation was that he wanted to stay at Leicester, no matter who came in for him. It's never about money and it's not about Villa."Fair play if that's how he really feels. That's the key, really. This sort of 'loyalty' pledge is common-place in football but ultimately money does talk and there is little loyalty left these days. If he actually feels that way, then my opinion of him is likely to drastically increase. I wouldn't be prepared to take it as a certainty, though.
eaststandtom Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 Oakley was terrible in CM, he was playing rm for most of it which is where he found his formfor most of last season our mid was Oakley King Berner/Davies Dyer i agree i actually prefered him out on the right but only when davies was here. as for him being 'terrible' when he was in midfield. i couldnt disagree more
