DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Maybe so but do you offer someone a job who is not as good purely based that they are from the U.K although not as good as someone who is of ethnic background Like any workplace the best should get the jobs regardless of where they are from. My point exactly. Why employ people who can't understand the language properly? Many of those that can, are difficult to understand as well. How is that for patient communication? The N.H.S. is obliged to take a percentage of ethnic applicants, Why? Because if it didn't they would be deemed to be racist! What a pathetic state of affairs.

No, the NHS takes on ethnic/foreign medics because the indigenous ones that have been funded through med school bugger off to other countries once qualified, because they will earn more money that way.

Its not your point though it's the opposite. I can't be arsed to explain but read my post properly What I was saying was quite the opposite.
Dr The Singh Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 No, the NHS takes on ethnic/foreign medics because the indigenous ones that have been funded through med school bugger off to other countries once qualified, because they will earn more money that way. Exactly!! There's a shortage of skilled medics, and unfortunately those trained in the UK, many do bugger off!!
Zingari Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Exactly!! There's a shortage of skilled medics, and unfortunately those trained in the UK, many do bugger off!! if they are fully qualified etc etc , why don't the foreign doctors and nurses go to those countries to get better pay instead of coming here
Guest Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 if they are fully qualified etc etc , why don't the foreign doctors and nurses go to those countries to get better pay instead of coming here They can't because of those bloody British doctors stealing their jobs.
Tommy G Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 if they are fully qualified etc etc , why don't the foreign doctors and nurses go to those countries to get better pay instead of coming here Interesting point. No, the NHS takes on ethnic/foreign medics because the indigenous ones that have been funded through med school bugger off to other countries once qualified, because they will earn more money that way. They can't because of those bloody British doctors stealing their jobs. Two contrasting posts. Do you really know the facts?
Dr The Singh Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 if they are fully qualified etc etc , why don't the foreign doctors and nurses go to those countries to get better pay instead of coming here They do Zingari, there's loads of foriegn skilled medics in US, Canada, Oz etc....the UK is just one option, it's those third world nations that really lose out, many government hospitals in say India have very unskilled doctors doing ops that they are unskilled to do!!
Tommy G Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 They do Zingari, there's loads of foriegn skilled medics in US, Canada, Oz etc....the UK is just one option, it's those third world nations that really lose out, many government hospitals in say India have very unskilled doctors doing ops that they are unskilled to do!! Well thats pretty much true as India is very under developed in comparison to the UK

GUARD DOGS OPERATE IN THIS HOSPITAL " that really is lowering standards of surgery
Guest Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Two contrasting posts. Do you really know the facts? Why do you?
Dr The Singh Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Well thats pretty much true as India is very under developed in comparison to the UK It's not only to do with India being third world, it has some fantastic private hospitals with fantastic doctors but they charge and arm and a leg, they earn alot more then they would migrating to US, or UK. But those that become skilled, will migrate not just for the cash but the training, the western nations offer alot more then those in say India!!!
Tommy G Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Why do you? No I don't. It was just a bit strange that in the space of 15 mins you have posted two completely different opinions both from other ends of the spectrum . Bit confusing.
Guest Bilo Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Why do you? Course he does you silly person. Your first in immigration law is useless when you can acquire all the necessary knowledge on immigration by picking up a copy of the Daily Mail.
Dr The Singh Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 ah i see it's got so bad here though that i saw a sign outside the hospital that read "WARNING ! Tabou Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 No I don't. It was just a bit strange that in the space of 15 mins you have posted two completely different opinions both from other ends of the spectrum . Bit confusing. Maybe re-read both posts in context to the rest of the topic. Quite clearly said in jest?

It was just a bit strange that in the space of 15 mins you have posted two completely different opinions both from other ends of the spectrum . Bit confusing. Because the last one was sarcastic? Maybe re-read both posts in context to the rest of the topic. Quite clearly said in jest? At least someone understands me. I knew I'd forgotten to read up from that source!!

ob1kanobe0 Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8141069.stmThe EU should sink boats carrying illegal immigrants to prevent them entering Europe, British National Party leader Nick Griffin has told the BBC. He didn't say that, he said sink boats carrying illegals just after they leave shore, throw them a lifeline to enable them to get back to shore, that way the people there can see that they can't break the law easily.
James. Are you saying that's a good idea then? As far as I can see it's fucking stupid whatever way you look at it.
ob1kanobe0 Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Are you saying that's a good idea then?As far as I can see it's fucking stupid whatever way you look at it. Stupid to defend our own law? It would be stupid not to.
Guest Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Stupid to defend our own law? It would be stupid not to. We have a law that allows us to shoot ships? Brilliant, I shall relieve my boredom shooting boats on the canal then.
ob1kanobe0 Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 We have a law that allows us to shoot ships? Brilliant, I shall relieve my boredom shooting boats on the canal then. No silly. Should we let people enter our shores illegally? Thousands die in those waters trying to enter our lands, should we stop their desperation?
Edmund Posted 16 July 2009 Author Posted 16 July 2009 He didn't say that, he said sink boats carrying illegals just after they leave shore, throw them a lifeline to enable them to get back to shore, that way the people there can see that they can't break the law easily. "Frankly, they need to sink several of those boats. It doesn't matter where he said we should sink boats, the fact is he said we should sink boats.
lou Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 We have a law that allows us to shoot ships? Brilliant, I shall relieve my boredom shooting boats on the canal then. Thats a brilliant idea - I hate boaty types!
