AjcW Posted 20 July 2009 Author Posted 20 July 2009 CF Navata 0 - 27 Villareal Dont suppose you have the goal-scorers do you EDIT: Villarreal hammer Spanish minnows Valverde replaced Manuel Pellergrini as Villarreal coach in the summer. Villarreal began their preparations for the new season in style with a 27-0 friendly win over minnows Navata. Having lost manager Manuel Pellegrini to Real Madrid this summer, the Spanish side could not have asked for a better warm-up to the campaign. New coach Ernesto Valverde played a different 11 in each half. Striker Jonathan Pereira notched up seven goals in the encounter, while fellow forwards Joseba Llorente and Ruben Marcos each scored four goals. Former Arsenal winger Robert Pires was also on target with a brace. Villarreal finished fifth in La Liga last season, narrowly missing out on a place in the Champions League on the final day.

Radovan's Caravan Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 I am disturbed by what I am reading here and on other threads. There are far too many posters claiming to be fans of 'Arkan's Heroes' flouncing off at the drop of a condom to watch 'Glory Boys' in nakedly commercial tournaments. Of course, when it comes to doing their duty on a 'wet Wednesday in Watford' these 'Leicester till I die(hards)' will claim penury. We have a similar problem with some of the rank and file in Novi Sad. Occasionally, a comprehensive sweep of the local railway station on matchday by Voj Ultras nets a few of the traitors on their way to Partizan or Red Star. Our stalwarts have found that the tradional therapy for glory seeking - the head of the sufferer immersed in warm salty urine for approximately ten seconds - remains the best antidote to this depressing condition.
Edmund Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 http://live.mcfc.co.uk/If anyones interested. City v Chiefs live for free on mcfc websit. Not a great match so far but its only a friendly. I didn't see Tevez or Robinho Is that the same Etuhu we had on loan from Man City a couple of years back. If so surprised he is still there. Must having something about him because from what I remember he was average at best.
whitlock Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/page/Gallery/0...1729644,00.html Nice to see him back! What a scar though. I know people have different opinions on the man, but he's done well to get back to playing fully again!

Nice to see he still plays with his tongue hanging out
AjcW Posted 24 July 2009 Author Posted 24 July 2009 Tis wembley cup time!! Cant wait to see this al ahly side, I have a feeling they may take celtic to pieces, ive seen them play on eurosport a few times and they play very good football. When ive been on holiday in egypt they go absolutely mad for them In an interview earlier the chairman said 60 million out of 80 million egyptions support them . So my prediction Celtic 1-3 Ahly Tottenham 1-2 Barcelona. Should be a really good afternoon and evenings football. So glad its back
AjcW Posted 24 July 2009 Author Posted 24 July 2009 Celtic 1-0 Al Ahly 31 minutes... my predictions are always way off anyway
AjcW Posted 24 July 2009 Author Posted 24 July 2009 Well its 3-0 to celtic now, was expecting alot more from ahly... shame... EDIT: 5-0
AjcW Posted 24 July 2009 Author Posted 24 July 2009 agreed Oh did you have to drag that up again, can we not just talk about football for ****s sake!!
