On another note, it seems that N'Guessen could do a job for us upfront. In any case I would prefer him to Dickov (but, as we've all established, we'd all prefer a new striker anyway ). Personally I don't think we'll make another permanent signing unless we sell DJ, but that we will make some use of the loan system. I'd like it to be otherwise but I've just got this feeling that's what will happen...

The lack of a striker is a concern but it is being looked into by NP and his team so I'm not too worried. One thing about the pre-season that is encouraging is the lack of goals we are conceding. It is often said that a good attack wins games and a good defence wins titles, let's hope that is the case.

I remember this time last year we didn't keep a clean sheet in any of the games and people were really concerned at the defence looking shaky.
