smudge_lcfc Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 usual 1st game nerves, loosing scotland they have naff all up front, boring game, 2 scrappy goals to finish 1-1 and then go 2 ipswich and sheff utd to get thumped!
The Padster Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Im going for a 1-1 draw but it could end either 0-0 1-0 0-1 or even hopefully 2-1 to us. I sincerely doubt that they will break down our back four with the stirking power they have but who knows what can happen on the opening day of the season!
StanSP Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 No! That would be Ferrie Bodde. Apparently he's injured from last season, so they've lost 2 weapons!
carterfox90 Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 edgy 1-0 us dont mind if its a scrappy game just be glad to the walkers as i have had enough of standing outside fitting rooms watching my missus try on new clothes - THANK GOD THE FOOTY IS BACK !!!!!!!!!
jrejack Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Morning all fox's, good to see you back in the championship, we have looked very good in pre-season (yes once against a poor SPL team, but you can only play whats in front of you and all that). Scotland was a loss for us granted, but the one thing that we do well is keep the ball well and pass through teams and with Sousa at the helm this year the players have been given greater licence to shoot on target, hence more goals in pre-season from our midfield which we think is as good as any in the championship. We have two fairly untried strikers up-front one who carried an injury all through last season but showed glimpses of what he could do (Pintado) and one we who was top scorer at Queen of the South last season and has good potential as long as he makes the step up (Dobbie). I dont think scoring will be as much as an issue for us as you guys believe. Should be a good game. Our allocation now nearly all sold out, See you all Saturday.
dandannieldanok Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 1-0 defeat which will cue massive overreaction to completely contrast everyone's pre-match optimism. People will be very surprised come tomorrow when they find out they've underestimated Swansea.
Unabomber Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Do i really need to bump this You really are a mentalist.
Cal Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 4-0 to us, im sure of it. Fryatt whacks 2 in, Howard and N'Guessan get one each!
Fox92 Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Excited knowing that this time tomorow, it will be happening Same pre-season anticipation, ready to see how the first 10 minutes will go and seeing our new signings. Hopefully we can do this, I think I'll change my prediction to 1-0 Leicester via a Howard header from a corner Should be a good game with Swansea near enough selling out and us selling over 22,000 apparently! Come on Leicester
Guest Bilo Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Fryatt to score first and us to win 2-1 is around 28/1 at the bookies. Get on!
purpleronnie Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Tough one swansea are (or at least were last season) a very good side, my concern is scoring goals this season, I'll go for a low scoring draw 0-0 or 1-1.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Win. One or two nil. They have no Scotland this time around and Bodde is injured. I think our defence will be too good for them and off we'll jolly well go.

colbo68 Posted 8 August 2009 Posted 8 August 2009 No! That would be Ferrie Bodde. Ferrie Bodde is good stuff, but we'll have our peckers up today and will secure an impressive 2-0 victory
StanSP Posted 8 August 2009 Posted 8 August 2009 Lets force some more votes because this is a new record It's the highest you'll get .
