Chris Coleman, although he's probably way before the 17 they were thinking of.

I qualify for Wales through my grandparents, so it was with some reluctance that I phoned John Toshack in his static caravan in Rhyl this evening to inform him that I too would no longer be available for selection. He took it well.

Danny Collins, despite recently saying he'd play again and Ben Thatcher both told Tosh where to get eff'd when they weren't called up by him - so they might be in the seventeen. Darren Ward and Danny Coyne are both vaguely recent retirements but nobody really gave a toss and does our boy Andy Johnson count? ;)

Koumas has retired? He can't be all that old.

About 29. He'll claim it's because of injuries (which is sort of fair) but it's just as likely he's just a lazy git.

It's because he knows Wales are never going to qualify for anything and is sick of losing!!! Sorry finners for being so honest!!! :(

Well Paul Jones but again, nobody cared (in fact we were glad) and he didn't leave particularly under a cloud. But then again Gary Speed's retirement was ages ago and was age related, as was Melville's, Hartson's and Pembridge's so I guess he has to count if they do.
