davieG Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 I can't understand why people are picking Tunc, yes he's obviously a good player but he can't possibly be fit enough to start let alone play 90 minutes, he wasn't even on the bench yesterday. If you start him knowing he can't complete 90 minutes you've already lost one option of changing the game, covering for injuries etc. It just doesn't bear any logic.
C-man Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 I can't understand the criticism of Neilson, he had his best game for us on Saturday.

I'd love to see Tunchev playing as an alternative to Hobbs. Yes, Jack's young, but he's had a bit of a shocker yesterday and a game against (allgeded) weaker opposition would do Tunchev some good - especially knowing that he still has the manager's trust. It's called rotating. Yeah, I know we're not Bayern Munich, but a few fresh feet and faces would do the game some good.

This, he didn't look match fit against Preston and he was at fault for the first and could be blamed for the second. Fantastic player, just not ready to jump straight back into to Championship football. On current form I think Morrison deserves to be picked ahead of Tunch but Brown and Hobbs are doing well.
DB11 Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 I'd love to see Ronaldo, Messi et al but I don't think that'd happen At a slight second best, I'd go for the same team that defeated Blackpool

Is Morrison still at the club?
Jfox Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Weale Neilson Hobbs Brown Mcgivern N'Guessan Oakley Wellens Adams Howard Fryatt Changed the left side because Blackpool outplayed us there. Why do people have a problem with Brown??? He is totally solid at the back and every striker is scared of him.
dimmerchant Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Is Morrison still at the club? Have I missed something?
Salieri Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Is Morrison still at the club? Have I missed something? Clearly.

dimmerchant Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Clearly. It was more of a rhetorical question put forward with the hope that Thracian would reply expanding on what he meant by his comment but thanks for the valuable input spiderpig.
marbelladave Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 This will be a much tougher game than many seem to think. Posh have had an awful start to the season and will be desperate to get something. They know our players and our style from last season and will make it very difficult for us. They will be way, way tighter than Blackpool and look to hit us on the break. We needt to have some ideas of our own. Do we?

Sorry but i thought it was pretty obvious what was implied by his comment.
Joe. Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Wouldn't change a great deal personally. Weale Neilson --- Hobbs --- Brown --- Berner N'Guessan --- Oakley --- Wellens --- Adams Fryatt --- Howard
Corky Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 I can't understand the criticism of Neilson, he had his best game for us on Saturday. It depends what people expected really. I didn't expect anything spectacular, just solid, and that's what he's been.

dypatel06 Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Weale Neilson Brown Hobbs Berner N'Guessan Wellens Oakley Adams Howard Fryatt Nguessan put in a good performance at blackpool. But Dyer needs to improve a lot. Hes not playing good enough. Hopefully get a fewgoals lead and give Gallagher a chance up front cause he looks decent when hes playin forward NOT LEFT WING.

Thracian Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Gradel's not injured, he keeps getting played in the reserves, so don't know why NP doesn't even put him on the bench Because new signings like N'Guessan, Gallagher and Waghorn have to be accomodated in the squad and Gradel's still regarded as one of the novices. It's a pity. Gradel is still learning but he so often makes positive things happen. N'Guessan on the other hand seems to flatter to deceive. He looks a threat for a while then fades like a snowflake in the sun. Times he simply runs into a cul-de-sac and fails to play the simple ball. I'm sure he's brilliant otherwise Pearson and his team wouldn't have signed him. It's just that so far I've not seen it much although I wouldn't say he's disappointed me any more than one or two of our other new signings and it's easier to be patient when we're sixth than were we bottom . I welcomed us having a smaller squad but one with greater depth because I honestly believed the workload could be more sensibly shared and it would therefore be easier to keep everyone fit and involved. What I didn't expect was to see players like Gradel, King and Dyer reduced to bit parts. We've not been playing clever enough football or scoring enough goals for that to be justified. Perhaps we will see it all tomorrow.
