Fancy doing something decent for a couple of thousand people? Volunteer Role DescriptionThis role description has been designed to provide detailed information on a specific voluntary role at Crisis. Role: Crisis Christmas Recruitment Volunteers Role Type: Volunteer Department/ Project: Client Services/ Crisis Christmas Location: Crisis HQ, 66 Commercial Road Timings: October through December –Ideal time commitment 1-3 days a week (start date flexible) Project/ Role Information Christmas Crisis (CC) provides companionship and support to alleviate loneliness and isolation and help people to take their first steps out of homelessness. The Crisis Christmas Centres open from 23rd – 30th December inclusive, welcoming over 2000 guests across the festive period. With over 8000 volunteers, Crisis Christmas is also the largest volunteer led event in the UK. In the run-up to Christmas, Crisis HQ opens a small call centre to process up to 16,000 enquiries and applications from prospective volunteers. We need volunteers to support us in the efficient running of the call centre. This will involve answering telephone and e-mail enquiries and generally supporting the work of the volunteer team in this large scale volunteer recruitment.
