I think Fryatt must have bought some pace when he was on holiday this summer.

He's completely turned it around, was very lively today, some great pieces of skill and even found some pace and strength from somewhere on occasions.

Hats off to the guy, but he's probably decided to try harder now for a Premiership move in January

Without him in this league we would be in a relegation battle, unless a suitable replacement could be found.

Infact remove Fryatts goals this season we would be in the relegation zone now.

I doubt we'd have been promoted last season either.

It does make me wonder how good a manager Pearson really is.

But then I used to wonder that when I first saw him managing Southampton.

And I'm still not sure.

How can you tell? Look what Holloway's currently achieving at Blackpool and I've never rated him. :dunno:

I am going to piss myself if they finish higher than City this season after everything everyone here said about him.

I'd bet even Plymouth would welcome him back with open arms at this juncture! He's clearly got something about him as a manager, but his spell here was pretty disasterous for whatever reason.

Perhaps he just works better without the "expectation" on his shoulders?

Not all of them for us though if his agent gets his way

Hes sooooo gone in January :yesyes:

Sorry, I know Im gonna get slated for this but the last time he played out of his skin it was before hed signed his new contract, now hes being watched by Prem clubs and playing out of his skin again! No coincidence I suspect :)

If he does go in January and we are around 14th place by then, then i see another relegation battle in order.

I don't see how going to Wigan, Hull, Portsmouth, Birmingham would help his career though.

I suppose there are so many factors influencing the way things go at a particular club for both players and managers.

Nothing like a "good" agent to turn your head (and in turn line his pockets!).

Still, if a Premier League club came a knocking for his services, who could blame him leaving. Better be for £5 mill or so though..... <_<
