demon_dog Posted 9 October 2009 Posted 9 October 2009 Can someone please help settle an argument. How many points did we have after 11 games the last time we were in the championship. I thought about 12, my mate says it was more, who is correct? Also was it not about this time that Megson decided to move on? Cheers in advance.
JoeyB Posted 9 October 2009 Posted 9 October 2009 http://www.lcfc.com/page/Fixtures/0,,10274~2007,00.html fixtures from 2 years ago, table next to it, have a look yaself
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 9 October 2009 Posted 9 October 2009 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LeagueTable/0,,10...0071023,00.html Yep, it was just after that dreadful home defeat to Sheff United, a night where football was played so badly I lost the will to live. And yes, we had 12 points.
leicesterfox86 Posted 9 October 2009 Posted 9 October 2009 Makes you realise how much progress we have made doesn't it? We now have a decent manager, a loyal group of players and a much better looking league table.
eleven points Posted 9 October 2009 Posted 9 October 2009 Wolves were 7th and finished 7th, maybe that Cardiff fan's theory is correct
StanSP Posted 9 October 2009 Posted 9 October 2009 Wolves were 7th and finished 7th, maybe that Cardiff fan's theory is correct Theory . *cough* coincidence *cough*
AimeeJones1988 Posted 9 October 2009 Posted 9 October 2009 Also was it not about this time that Megson decided to move on? Ha ha, Megson! I vividly remember going through the car wash in Tollerton near Nottingham, listening to Radio Leicester, as Megson was unveiled as manager. Sorry, totally unrelated but it made me chuckle.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 10 October 2009 Posted 10 October 2009 God that Sheffield United game was awful, one of the worst games I have ever seen. Megson's last game too wasnt it?
The Doctor Posted 10 October 2009 Posted 10 October 2009 God that Sheffield United game was awful, one of the worst games I have ever seen.Megson's last game too wasnt it? walked out for bolton the following morning, the ingrateful rat bastard.

Must be getting computer illiterate in my old age. At least I won my bet, 12 points it was.
Koke Posted 10 October 2009 Posted 10 October 2009 After Megson resigned at Forest, I vaguely remember some Forest fans telling me they would make it to the Premiership before Megson does. The ginger cunt must be chuckling at them.
Scow Posted 10 October 2009 Posted 10 October 2009 God that Sheffield United game was awful, one of the worst games I have ever seen.Megson's last game too wasnt it? The ultimate embarrassment to lose at home to a Bryan Robson side.
Corky Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 God that Sheffield United game was awful, one of the worst games I have ever seen.Megson's last game too wasnt it? Absolute shocker that one, freezing cold, midweek night, I think we had one shot on target in 90 minutes.
Jay Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 Absolute shocker that one, freezing cold, midweek night, I think we had one shot on target in 90 minutes. One of the worst games ever imo Megson put out a team that had no intention whatsoever of attacking, no desire to win infact no intention of winning but doing everything to hold out for a draw, A team set up with the intention of doing nothing but stopping Sheff Utd from scoring but with zero ambition to score yourself. I never want to see another Leicester Team go onto the pitch with zero ambition and no plan other than stopping the other team scoring and holding out for a 0-0
SystonFox Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 how much ambition did we show on that sheff utd night? it was cold too wasn't it?!!!
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 how much ambition did we show on that sheff utd night?it was cold too wasn't it?!!! And the Upperton Road bridge was out of commission, so everyone had to go the long way around. What a miserable night.
AmericanScott Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 I remember shouting at the end of that Sheff Utd match "Megson for Bolton". That caught on quite quick from memory.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 Absolute shocker that one, freezing cold, midweek night, I think we had one shot on target in 90 minutes. Think they did too! That was the time they were shit under Robson as well!
The Doctor Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 So how did we get on against Sheffield United? been two years, move on people. megson will be back next year.
