Is it me or are the majority of these so called banker transfers being posted by 1st time posters a lot of whom disapper over the horizon never to be seen again.

Sure we believe you that's why CL now has a squad of 365. I think I'll go and get a new shirt with the 350 and Sucker printed on it.

PS if this particular rumour comes true I think I'll go away fro a few days ;)

Hi.

Just wondering if you were telling porkies again ;)

Bellion would be a good loan. He s very quick but I want that Abeyie guy from Arsenal. He s going to be a real star like Figo and Ronaldinho. But i am not sure whether Arsenal would want give him on loan.

I seem to remember the Bellion on loan rumour sometime in the past; while I agree it wouldn’t be a bad signing I think it unlikely. If Rab Douglas has taken that CL has said as a considerable pay cut to join us and I don’t see him being on Mega Money back at Celtic, I don’t see Bellion doing the same, now I am not saying he is a super earner but I still think he would want a sizable wage and one it pains me to say we can’t afford.

If I were a Prem club, there's no way I'd want to be loaning any young/good players to a Championship side early in the season. Two matches most weeks + mostly physical encounters + little control over where/how they play. Not really worth it. The ones that usually (not always!) get loaned out are the Stefan Moores of this world.

Rumour posted on the foxfanzine forum by GTfox

Birmingham are set to offload Blake for a nominal fee following the signing of Forssell and imminent signing of Lee Bowyer.

Thats surely just a rumour which combines all the good players we've been linked with plus one who looks like he may be offloaded (putting 2+2 together and making 5) if we actually sign those 4 players I will take my hat off to GTFox and start getting REALLY excited about the new season... lol

If you could add Colin Kazim-Richards to that list I would be in heaven. It is a wonderful idea and the sort of idea that can sustain a person during these non-football times. However I cannot see it happening. :(:(:D:D:thumbup:;)

indeed

Those signings and we would be serious contenders for promotion. Perfect blend of experience and hunger. I doubt all of them will be signed though..

Posted

yep - he has various clubs interested in premiership so i dont think he would drop. I doubt he is CL's type of player aswell so all in all I cant see that happening.

As funny as it may sound we will have to just wait and see what CL does. He may surprise us with some unknown names but I have faith in him and his ability to bring out the best in a team. Just because Bent was good for us when he played it doesnt mean he will have the same commitment dropping down a league and fighting for us. he;s a much travelled player now and is used to the luxuries of being a prem player and earning the wages associated at that level - there is no way even he would come back to Leicester either

I would flippin love it if Marcus joined. I cant see it happening , but maybe when we are back in the prem it would be nice to see him join again. He is a great player and someone that would terrorise defences for fun.

The first two seem pretty logical and tie-in with the info from Foxes Trust. Blake is a bit like Connolly for my liking, and the Timm rumour is just random! Neither are out of the question, though.

100% agreed Blake class at this level, similar to connolly but more creative not got the goal scoring record, we need a left winge IMO.

Won't happen. Tiatto, Wilcox (and Stewart or Hughes) already in the squad. Plenty of cover in left midfield. Sylla will provide width on the right, with Levein prefering to keep one flank tighter.

Hahhahah... sure... we have 8 simulatenous deals going on! lol

why not we let 9 go

walker,nalis,dabizas,gillespie,scowcroft,gemmil,blake,hirschfeld and dawson

so why cant we sign 8 players

124020[/snapback]

Because CL said that we won't have as big a first team as last season. In fact, 20 first teamers is the likely number (+/- 1 player), so that's why. And obviously 8 simultaneous transfers is a bit unlikely don't you think?

Sorry Casabian but that suggestion is ridiculous.

Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Richie Partridge has said he would favour a move to Coventry City after admitting the club have made contact with him.

Partridge was released by Liverpool at the end of the 2004/05 season and would welcome a return to Coventry where he enjoyed a successful season's loan during the 2003/04 campaign under the management of former boss and Liverpool legend Gary McAllister.

Mickey Adams is now in charge of the Sky Blues and is a keen admirer of Partridge.

Partridge said: "Coventry, Norwich and Leeds are interested in me and if I had the choice, it would be Coventry. I really enjoyed it there when I had a season long loan."

Seems CL is not interested.:unsure:

Charlton striker Jason Euell looks set to leave after admitting his future may now lie elsewhere as he prepares for talk with boss Alan Curbishley.

The 28-year-old started just seven Premiership games last season, and is under contract for another year.

And agent Tony Finnigan said: "From what Jason has said, he would like pastures new - players want to play."

He added: "Charlton are a great club, but it may turn out he will get a change of environment."

Clinton Morrison has warned Birmingham he may have to consider his future if he is not given regular first-team football next season.

The 26-year-old, who scored four Premiership goals last term, is growing increasingly frustrated at his relegation to a bit-part player in Steve Bruce's team.

With the recent £3million arrival of Finland striker Mikael Forssell from Chelsea, Morrison is aware his opportunities in the starting XI could be further restricted.

"At the moment I not happy at the club because I've not been playing regularly," Morrison admitted.

"They've signed Mikael Forssell and he's obviously going to be playing up front with (Emile) Heskey next season.

"All I can do is hope to take my chance when it comes even if it's for 15 or 20 minutes as a sub. That's what I had to do for most of last season, when I knew I wasn't going to be a starter.

"All I want to do is play.

Mark Fish is also availiable from Charlton. seems quite a steady defender.

all 3 might be well worth a dabble.
