Babylon Posted 17 June 2005 Posted 17 June 2005 Charlton striker Jason Euell looks set to leave after admitting his future may now lie elsewhere as he prepares for talk with boss Alan Curbishley. The 28-year-old started just seven Premiership games last season, and is under contract for another year. And agent Tony Finnigan said: "From what Jason has said, he would like pastures new - players want to play." He added: "Charlton are a great club, but it may turn out he will get a change of environment." Clinton Morrison has warned Birmingham he may have to consider his future if he is not given regular first-team football next season. The 26-year-old, who scored four Premiership goals last term, is growing increasingly frustrated at his relegation to a bit-part player in Steve Bruce's team. With the recent £3million arrival of Finland striker Mikael Forssell from Chelsea, Morrison is aware his opportunities in the starting XI could be further restricted. "At the moment I not happy at the club because I've not been playing regularly," Morrison admitted. "They've signed Mikael Forssell and he's obviously going to be playing up front with (Emile) Heskey next season. "All I can do is hope to take my chance when it comes even if it's for 15 or 20 minutes as a sub. That's what I had to do for most of last season, when I knew I wasn't going to be a starter. "All I want to do is play. Mark Fish is also availiable from Charlton. seems quite a steady defender. all 3 might be well worth a dabble. 124258 If we had a few million to spend.
Steven Posted 17 June 2005 Posted 17 June 2005 The second of those two pieces might give some credence to the Robbie Blake story.
foxesfan69 Posted 18 June 2005 Posted 18 June 2005 read in the Sun today that Mark Fish is being given a free transfer, would be a good signing IMO

Steven Posted 20 June 2005 Posted 20 June 2005 It would seem Bothroyd is out of the question. Manchester City set to step up Bothroyd chaseJay Bothroyd is poised for a season-long loan at Eastlands according to reports at the weekend The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers from Italian side Perugia but Ewood Park boss Mark Hughes did not take up his option of a permanent deal for the former Arsenal and Coventry City man. A return to Italy looks unlikely for Bothroyd and with City boss Stuart Pearce set to miss out on Marseille forward Peguy Luyindula he could be the answer to Pearce's search for a striker. West Ham have also been linked with a move for Bothroyd. Source
casabian Posted 20 June 2005 Posted 20 June 2005 Adebayo Akinfenwa scored loads of goals for torquay last season and he is available on the cheap still only young would be a great partner for connolly. what do you think guys
Ric Flair Posted 21 June 2005 Posted 21 June 2005 I would like to see Powell from Palace come to Leicester, his contract is up and he wants to leave them. He's 28/29 and if we're struggling to find a centre half, he's more than capable. Quality player. Gavin Swankie has signed for Dundee and Stephen McPhee has signed for Hull, two players who we'd been linked with.

funnkyh Posted 22 June 2005 Posted 22 June 2005 Not sure if CL rates him but andy kirk might be worth a look? Apparantley theres a couple of clubs interested, one of which is sheff wed, dont know the other. May be a bit expensive tho as hes unproven at championship level and we need a couple of decent centre backs too, but hes a goal scorer and the right age.
Foxes_Wizard_Striker Posted 22 June 2005 Posted 22 June 2005 Read in Leicester Mercury that Leicester are linked with dundee midfielder Scott Robertson, Dundee rejected 50k from leicester any info on Robertson guys?

davieG Posted 24 June 2005 Posted 24 June 2005 Wahey! We can out muscle Hibs B) 126503 But maybe not Stoke Pulis reveals Foxes link Stoke boss Tony Pulis has claimed the Potters beat off competition from Leicester to net new signing Mamady Sidibe. The 25-year-old has signed a two-year deal at The Britannia Stadium and Pulis has told the Mali international he hopes to add another two strikers to his attack before the start of the new season. Pulis said: "There was interest from Leicester and Gillingham actually offered him more money to stay but he chose Stoke City because he likes the feel of the place and he really wants to do well here. "I'm not looking for him to come straight into the side as our main striker and he knows that. He knows I'm still looking for another couple of forwards with more experience." Pulis added: "His attitude is fantastic. He came here for two days and had a good look around before signing. He was very, very keen to come." Source

Babylon Posted 25 June 2005 Posted 25 June 2005 http://skysports.planetfootball.com/Article.asp?id=287378 Says we are after steve lovell
Sam Posted 25 June 2005 Posted 25 June 2005 I don't know if he's been suggested yet as I can't be bothered to read through all of the posts and I'm not sure how much he would cost but Ricardo Fuller isn't likely to be given a chance at Portsmouth and I think he's Championship quality and could be a good player for us in the next few years.

He could be unstoppable at this level. I remember how he absolutely terrorised us at Preston two years ago. The problems are wages, a fee, his fitness, Pompey's willingness to let him go and his desire to drop a league. Here's hoping though.
Hitesh Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Fuller would be a great signing. Although i dont think Pompey would let him go cheap. Maybe as a loan signing. Even for 3 months, it beneifts both clubs as we give him match fitness and he provides us with an option up front. And then if all goes well, we could have him for the rest of the season....is that being a little optimistic?

His knee if smashed and although he can still play he's a risk and you wouldn't part with a transfer fee for him. Pompey probably want him off their books, I think he's more of a realistic transfer target than some of the players we've been linked with!

Well we already have Morris so i dont think we need another sick note.
Muz Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 Lee Clarke is still without a club.... Ive heard this week that Palace are intrester in Ricardo Fuller , i know we wont be able to match them in terms of money , but maybe if Pompey were willing to let him go for say 200k we could stretch to that. And Ricardo might want to come back and work with Levien. He would be a brilliant signing , fast , strong and can score plenty of goals.
Gené and Tonic Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 He would be a brilliant signing , fast , strong and can score plenty of goals. 128273 Only when fit.
