Samilktray Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 Taarabt and Routledge will make a mockery of Neilson and Berner.
Scow Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 He played more of a central role yesterday against Derby - although QPR may pinpoint the RB weakness and stick him on the left. Routledge looked lively on the right but hopefully Berner has a good game I did notice that - they showed against Derby that they were quite fluid with their positions, so I'd imagine he'll fancy his chances against a sluggish Neilson. Hopefully Berner does return to the side. I thought McGivern was fine against Palace, but Bruno has been superb for us this season and has done very little wrong.

And had we won when 2-0 up at Watford, and won either P'Boro/Derby/Sheff Utd/Ipswich we would be top. We could so easily be running away with it, and for the first time i think we have a chance of automatic promotion. It's going to remain tight, and we only need a consistent run of games and we will be top.
Ozwin Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 It's scary to think if we beat Watford and Peterborough we'd be top. I'm getting a nose bleed already.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 I am really happy with the place we are in now and would have taken that at the start of the season but I still feel disappointred we dont have 4/5 more points from Watford, Posh, Derby Newcastle and Ipswich. But never mind, bring on QPR!

Leicester Rule! Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 After what some call a hard run of games before, we have done very well. However, with it being so tight, we cant afford to lose a few on the bounce, else we will drop into mid-table. I think we still need to get 3 points from either QPR or WBA before the international break is here. Then, we have a few games that are Plymouth and S****horpe, which, if we want to be up here by the end of the season, they are a must win!

Given how Leicester do things, we'll win/draw against QPR and WBA, and then play bollocks against Plymouth and Scunny.
maddog Posted 7 November 2009 Author Posted 7 November 2009 West Brom and Newcastle are starting to sneak away. The other playoff places are ridiculous. Matt Posted 7 November 2009 Posted 7 November 2009 Well i'm happy that we haven't really lost much ground on the teams above us, still joint 3rd, and still in the playoffs places. However and it was the same when we drew to Derby, we didn't lose much ground but if only we had won (v Derby) or drew today we could have made it abit better for ourselves, we have to concentrate on what we do, that is the only thing we can do, but when the teams around us don't make any ground or gain points we have to make the most of it, like our chances in games really, we create plenty we just don't make the most of them.

Which is what every fan is thinking. It's just nonsense all this stuff about 'taking advantage' and 'having to win when others slip up'. You might just as well say that losing or drawing wouldn't damage our chances much when others aren't gaining ground/pulling away. Losing to WBA is no drama. In fact, we won 4-1 at their ground last season but still ended up getting relegated. We lost at home this time, so ....
