Jimothy Posted 20 October 2009 Posted 20 October 2009 606 is a load of shit. Stopped going on there to post ages ago. The amount of WUMs on there is unbelievable. Yeah it is pretty shocking, not posted on it for ages for the same reason. But easiest place to have a quick look at what other clubs fans are saying, especially on stuff like this.
StanSP Posted 20 October 2009 Posted 20 October 2009 Yeah true. I now resist the temptation to say anything no matter how stupid the comment I've seen.t
Ultra Posted 20 October 2009 Posted 20 October 2009 So if Steve Walsh was a top manager at a club only very debatably senior to Leicester, that he had no emotional attachment to, you'd be surprised if he was interested in the City job should it be open? Walsh is not a top manager, nor is he likely to be for a long time. As I've said previously, the only team in this division Pearson might consider leaving us for is Sheffield Wednesday.
Finnegan Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 Walsh is not a top manager, nor is he likely to be for a long time. You understand the concept of a theoretical question?
Guest Mee-9 Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 I think NP will not leave. He's doing an excellent job here. Wouldnt be surprised seeing Warnocks name in the hat.
Corky Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 I'm not sure they'll even go for Pearson. They may want a bigger name in management.
Hitesh Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 I'm not sure they'll even go for Pearson. They may want a bigger name in management. I wouldn't be so sure. I think Gibson will go for someone like NP for a few reasons and the biggest one being that he will win over the fans! They have lost a lot of faith in him and a major coup for him would be NP! Also, with the start we have had and the job he has done he would be on the list for a few clubs! On the flip side - would Pearson want to leave? If so, would Mandy let him leave?? I really hope NP can stay and finish the job, and more so the GOOD job he has started here! We are a much better club atm and I just feel that a new bout of instability will ruin all the good work that has gone over the past year and we'll end up with someone like Bryan Robson in charge ruining it all!
davieG Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 They should go for Edgar Davids as Player Manager
Dr The Singh Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 They should go for Edgar Davids as Player Manager What about Pearson and Edgar as his assistant??? Pearson will be gone before the Reading game!!!
Budweiser Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 So if Steve Walsh was a top manager at a club only very debatably senior to Leicester, that he had no emotional attachment to, you'd be surprised if he was interested in the City job should it be open? That is absolutely cracking point Making me sweat now! I will be gutted if Nige leaves us for Boro, but he does have an attatchment with them and I wonder about his relationship with the old Serbian fool. It wouldn't suprise me completely if he left, he would get alot more money to buy players in January. I don't think he'd go though.
TrickyTrev Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 Actually I'd be genuinely a little bit worried right now to be honest. :\ Why? About the same chance of promotion with 10 times the expectation. Now Gibson doesn't want to subsidize the club it is not even like they would have a bigger budget if promoted.
James. Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 So if Steve Walsh was a top manager at a club only very debatably senior to Leicester, that he had no emotional attachment to, you'd be surprised if he was interested in the City job should it be open? Walsh and Leicester is not the same as Pearson and Middlesbrough is it though? I'm not particularly worried about Pearson leaving. He's building something at Leicester with his own players and his own back room staff. Why would he want to throw that away now for an alternative that isn't even particularly attractive?
TrickyTrev Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 But as mentioned above, that man is one of the most patient and intelligent chairman around. I never get why people say this about Gibson. I know he provides a nice antidote to the plague of chairman that don't give managers enough time to shape their squads, but in 2 of his 3 managerial appointments he has given he job to ex players on the basis of their playing career who were completely unqualified and had no credentials to manage at the upper end of English football. What is more, they have both gone on to be shown to be pretty poor managers who he has stuck with despite damning evidence that his loyalty to the manager was going to bring the entire team down. One man's patient and intelligent is another's reckless and stubborn it seems.
leicesterfox86 Posted 22 October 2009 Posted 22 October 2009 It looks like Strachan is there man. How do we think he will do? I can't help thinking that he doesn't suit Middlesbrough. I can't think why, but initially, I am unconvinced that he will do a decent job. As for Southgate, I can't help feeling a lot of sympathy for him. This football blog points out that his sacking could be down to falling attendances, so if that is the case, maybe the decision is justifed. Doesn't it show too much fan power? If Strachan starts badly, will fans stop turning up again?
