Promotion

I no i am being brave as a new member of foxes-talk starting this topic but i have been with leicester through the good and the bad and this is the best i've seen us look in years i genuinely feel we can challenge for promotion this year. I can't remember the last time i had confidence in a Leicester team/squad or a Leicester manager.

I feel the next two games against QPR and West Brom will give us more of an idea of weather we can cut it at the top of this division, we have beaten Middlesborough put in a good show at sheffield united and could have had Newcastle on another day the only time i feel we have been shown up this season was Preston. Even when we don't really deserve it e.g Reading we are getting results!!

Squad wise i feel we have a great squad and with the addition of a solid right back maybe a loan deal and holding mid could be davids we have got a squad that could go somewhere this year!!!

We have a great manager, a strong squad and with a couple of additions in january i reckon we could get play-offs this year.

Any thoughts??????

Close it, quick!

No offense mate but I'd rather we weren't talking about promotion yet, let's just quietly go about winning games here and there and see where we are at Xmas

Yes. We may be able to challenge for promotion, but we are nowhere near being able to hold our own in the PL.

Yes, we have a reasonable chance of making the play offs and if we do we have a 1 in 4 chance of winning them. As for staying up, who'd of thought that Hull or Stoke would stay up last season?

We are promotion contenders, nothing wrong in saying that, but we must take every game as it comes and see where we end up. After the reading game when Sky Sports showed the table I thought Fuck, imagine us back in the EPL.

woahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

whats this i hear about promotion tut tut what a brave person you are only three 3 posts in and your talking about promotion

lets just enjoy the nice run while we are here sitting nicely in the top 6 just enjoy the games and think before posting but otherwise :welcome:

I'd have more faith in promotion if we started thrashing teams. I think we've only won by one goal each time. A few 3-0 wins and I'd have some belief.

Way to early too think about promotion, to many teams sitting on top of each other,

Let’s wait until February before we start getting excited

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not 100% sure I want us to be in the premier league.

No, it's not just you.

Word. Although the feeling of getting promoted would be immense, the reality of being in the prem would be shit.

Is anyone seriously saying that they wouldn't swap places with Burnley this season?

Yes. Even if we were to stay up, the disruption to fixtures to accommodate other team's cup fixtures, the price of following my team, and the increased number of plastics puts me right off top flight football.

I understand that people think i am saying the words promotion a bit soon but i am finally thinking positive when it comes to leicester under allen/holloway/megson etc i never felt positive about where we were going as a club and for the first time in years i finally do. I agree its soon to be mentioning the word of promotion but i just feel the sneaky wins the good defensive record and the lack of defeats are putting us in with a chance as you need that for a promotion push.

The way football (and in particular the Premier League) is at present, I'd rather stay in this division and prioritise Cup competitions in all honesty.

Well obviously the price of tickets is a bit off putting but they might go up next season whether we go up or not.

Imo I can't see the point of supporting any sports team hoping for mediocrity

Nothing wrong with that mate.

I was chatting to the bloke next to me at the Reading game and he said "feels like the good times are back doesn't it"... That stuck with me. It's true.

I knew someone was gonna post this and I understand what youre saying but I cant stand another season of getting thrashed every week either. Plus the WS will be even more full of glory hunting tossers wholl start booing at the drop of a hat. Plus all the other stuff Lisa said lol

If we did go up I think Id just stick to away games
