lou Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 same team as Friday for me just with N'Guessan destroying the little twat on his "home coming" Cant change it from last night!!
Ozwin Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Gotta be the same team, with pretty much the same tactics.
Jimmy Posted 31 October 2009 Author Posted 31 October 2009 Cant change it from last night!! I'm sure maddog will come up with a reason why Campbell absolutely HAS to start in place of Fryatt
Vlad The Impaler Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 GK. Weale RB. Neilson CB. Hobbs CB. Brown LB. Berner RM. Oakley CM. King CM. Wellens LM. N'Guessan ST. Waghorn ST. Fryatt SUBS: Logan, Kermogant, Howard, Gallagher, Dyer, Adams, Morrison Don't change the team due to the fact that West Brom play a very similar style to QPR, if we play half as well as we did last night then we will get something out of the game. Am pretty confident!
Karljohn Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Brown shorts time for Mattock. Whatever team we put out lets hope we give him an absolute battering on and off the pitch, looking forward to Dany and Waggy tearing him to bits.
maddog Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 I'm sure maddog will come up with a reason why Campbell absolutely HAS to start in place of Fryatt No it has to be the same team, unless illness or injuries. But Campbell should be on the bench
Thracian Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 No it has to be the same team, unless illness or injuries. But Campbell should be on the bench Quite agree.
Guest Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 I'm sure maddog will come up with a reason why Campbell absolutely HAS to start in place of Fryatt And then start a poll about it Gotta be the same starting line up as last night for me too, no sense in changing that
Leicester Rule! Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Hope someone (Brown) snap's the ****s legs.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Weale Neilson Hobbs Brown Berner N'Guessan Oakley Wellens Dyer Fryatt Howard I think we need to be as positive as possible and make put Mattock under as much pressure as possible. We know he's not much cop, but Oakley won't attack him like N'Guessan will. Mattock will shit his pants if N'Guessan runs at him. Harsh on King I know but we've got to attack Mattock, who is their weak link. I'd start Howard rather than Waghorn because we're not going to pass them off the pitch. They're too good on the ball for that. That said, I wouldn't complain if it was the same team again. We were excellent yesterday
Ozwin Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Waghorn was awesome at closing down and not giving the QPR backline any time on the ball, Howard won't do that.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Waghorn was awesome at closing down and not giving the QPR backline any time on the ball, Howard won't do that. I disagree. Howard would definitely be bombing around, he'd be seriously up for it having not played for a while.
Koke Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 I'd start Howard rather than Waghorn because we're not going to pass them off the pitch. They're too good on the ball for that. That's nonsense though isn't it. QPR are a also very good passing side as well, and we made them look ordinary. WBA are not Arsenal. Prior to their 5-0 bumming of Watford they had won 1 in 6. Coventry kept a clean sheet against them and Swansea beat them at the Hawthorns. Good side, yes, but hardly a team that we should fear. Plus, We subconsciously hoof it up to Howard when he's playing. It's a psychological thing. And you never change a winning side. That's rule number 1 in the management book.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Joe Mattock's friend installed my internet on Friday Looked a bit like him too. No joke. But on topic, we can't change a winning team unless injuries, and I don't think any sane manager would. Same again please, if we can do that to a passing team like QPR, then we can do it to WBA, who aren't as brilliant as people thought they would be. (on a side note it'll be nice to play a team that isn't just made up of initials soon too)
Candidcamera Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 We did change it after the Reading game so it will only be the odd change again if it happens. The fact is that we are at home and this may lead to changes. Gallagher was unlucky IMO to be left out at QPR. Fryatt is a must so he may have to wait until Waghorn is rested.

Although we won at Reading, it wasn't exactly a stellar performance. I'd like the same team but with DJ on the bench (only for his pace in the last 10 minutes).
CupidStunt Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 same team as QPR, and keep the same formation as we did at the start As for Mattock, he will have a blinder, and probably score a scrambled tap in at the back post from a corner, its sods law
FilboFox Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 Same team, same performance, same result please.

I appreciate what you say about West Brom's form, but if my point about WBA passing us off the pitch is made redundant by the fact that we beat QPR, surely the fact we beat QPR who were in excellent form, renders your point about the Baggies' form obsolete, as QPR were in scintillating form before Friday? I think we'll get shat on if we try and play the same way next week. We've turned in one excellent performance in 15 games this season, and it's not going to happen every week. I fear that the sad truth is that if we're to progress in this league, we need to be pragmatic and play to our opposition's weaknesses as much as our own strengths.
crazylegs1984 Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 1: Gordon Banks 2: Cafu 3: Franz Beckenbauer 4: Bobby Moore (r.i.p) 5: Lilian Thuram 6: Obdulio Varella (captain) 7: Mane Garrincha 8: Diego Maradona 9: Pele 10: Geoff Hurst 11: Gerd Muller im sure we could get em all on a free transfer

Yes, we should play to our own strengths, but if we can pinpoint a weakness that we can capitalise on, then we need to. Thats why management watch loads of video's of their opponents before they play.

D J is way to lightweight and is always being caught offside. Waghorn is way way better. Pace is great, you also need to have the brain to use it, its no good if you keep getting caught offside the amount of times he does. Muffin.
