Messi walks the Ballon d'Or

Lionel Messi won it, hes the best player in the world right now, he has a couple of other world class players around him, we fucking get it.

Give it a rest, the constant arse licking of Barca on here is tiresome and cringeworthy, I used to like them before people on here started going on and on and on and on and on about them like its some exclusive club that means your more knowledgeable or upper class.

Jesus christ.

So you stopped liking them just because other people liked them more? :S

I'm a lifelong Athletico fan with no real arselicking history for barca (bar a couple of shirts) but Yaya Toure is twice the player Steven Gerrard is.

Before another argument ensues can we just establish that there is nothing wrong with being passionate about another team from abroad.

No i don't mind people who like watching them but people who follow Barca are glory fans, like the people around town who support Man Utd or Liverpool.

I don't care if you say, you have follow Barca when you was 2 or Barca were crap when you all of a sudden starting pretending you was a real fan

If Barca lose to Real, you wouldn't really care. If Leicester lose to Forest you would be peed off.

Pretending to be passionate about Barca is really pathetic, they have always been a world class side just like Man Utd and people who aren't from said area's but who support them are grade a tossers.

I follow them because of the way they play their football.(Probably similar to tommeh with atletico).

If they started losing games playing that way I would still follow them because its the way football should be played.

You speak like you know every single person who supports Barca personally.

If Barca lost to Real, I'd be pretty gutted as I understand the history between the two, and not just for the football. If Leicester lose to Forest, yeah I would be pissed off more, but I'd still be pissed off if Barca lost against Real, or Espanyol.

What makes you think we are 'Pretending to be passionate about Barca' ??

Because why really do you follow them ? Also how can you get the same feel for the Barca Espanyol derby ? You're not spainish, you're not from Barca and ok you might have been on a tour of the ground ( who hasn't ) but that don't make you a Barca fan.

So having your Messi poster on the wall, what you got free with your match Magazine also doesn't make you a real fan.

Sorry lad best not use my example.

The lifelong bit was a bit more controversy to a ridiculous thread. If it wasn't for Aguero or my incredible record with them at Fifa they wouldn't register that much with me.

With today's day in age it's not hard for anyone to follow their team from abroad. You have your Sky and you have your stream.

Any Barca fan or follower can support their club just like the ones based in the country and can furthermore understand the passion and love for the club that little bit easier.

Of course it's not the same of being embedded in the culture of the club and the city they're based in, but it's good enough and your love and knowledge can be just as good as any other.

What's the difference between someone liking Barcelona from the UK and someone from Spain following a team like Wigan? TIt's simple. Glory. The fact Barca win more is the only reason why foreign followers of big clubs get frowned upon.

I really can't be bothered to debate/argue with you.

But I'll pick up on the stuff in bold. Spainish. :giggle:

Don't get me started on these teams. Rapid Vienna, Besiktas, Tenerife, Borussia Dortmund, Marseille, Rochdale, Dagenham and Redbridge, Feyenoord and Grosetto. Soft spots for them all. Don't read up on them intently but always keep an eye out for any news.

All from starting games on FIFA / Pro Evo / Any management game.

Also, in regards to this thread, it's probably nigh on impossible to create a list that everyone will agree with. Certain players are bound to get more exposure, and more votes in this type of shite, but I certainly wouldn't be able to list the likes of Ronaldo / Xavi / Iniesta in any kind of definitive order, based on who I think's "the best."

Oh I'm guessing this was a joke? That means I should lol:rolleyes:

It's not even funny that you say Toure is better than Gerrard, you just look a complete fool and you are trying to be some original by following Athletico because of a computer game. Well cool.

lol Good enough reason as any.

And you said I was the bummer?
