GloverFox Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 What a lovely guy - would love to see him here in 200 games time When did Birch start doing interviews? I really wish he understood the purpose of a microphone... I'm a big fan of Chris having watched him from a lad at Yeovil and would love to see him go on to be another of our 'established' great line of keepers, he's as honest as they come and gives his all and I'm really pleased it's City that have given him the chance he deserves
Fox92 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 He may be a nice guy, but he isn't exactly a top goalkeeper. Last week at S****horpe, he nearly cost us a goal - their first corner when Weale came rushing out then went back and that Cliff Byrn's header missed by about 2 cm. A few times he has looked poor, ok not all the game but a couple of times, such as both West Brom goals I think he should have saved. Still not sure about him and don't think that Spurs ever wanted him.

Do you think that when everybody else disagrees you may be wrong?
Fox92 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Don't you think it is a little strange that no one backs you up when you slate him. Do you think that when everybody else disagrees you may be wrong? No, not really. I couldn't care less if anyone backs me up or not. He looked to slow for Forest's first goal, I thought that goal from Anderson either had a load of bend on it or Weale again was poor, at S****horpe he nearly cost us a goal, he conceded two of the softest goals I have ever seen against West Brom, he constantly withdraws his hands when someone shoots long... may I continue?
Babylon Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 at S****horpe he nearly cost us a goal He didn't though... hobbs did though, do you want a new centre half? he conceded two of the softest goals I have ever seen against West Brom Not seen much footy then he constantly withdraws his hands when someone shoots long... may I continue? Yes he withdraws his hand when it's going wide, how many times has he pulled it away and conceded. ...may I continue? I'd rather you didn't.

I'd rather you didn't. I didn't mean the S****horpe goal, I meant when Weale came rushing out for that corner, then went back and Byrne nearly scored. In fact, it was only cm's wide.

Paul Robinson is one of the best english keepers and has played for his country and could go to the world cup... how many mistakes does he make? How many times does he rush out and flap? Same goes for David James and every other keeper. All keepers make mistakes, it's about getting one that doesn't make many... and Weale doesn't no matter what you say.

Ok, it didn't cost us a goal but it nearly did. Every goalkeeper makes mistakes, there is no doubt about it, but Weale makes one to many for me
CosbehFox Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Ok, it didn't cost us a goal but it nearly did. But it didn't so irrelevant. He's a fine keeper for this level.
lou Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 this has to be a wind up... no one can be this stupid.
Fox92 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 this has to be a wind up... no one can be this stupid. Yes they can...
lou Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Yes they can... Shit, Im sorry I didnt realise I was mocking the afflicted. Bet the windows in your house are immaculate.
CosbehFox Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 I am sure if he was that poor, he'd have not be 1) nominated for player of the month or 2) still playing, he'd have been dropped.
Fox92 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Shit, Im sorry I didnt realise I was mocking the afflicted. Bet the windows in your house are immaculate. What has Chris Weale and people being thick got to do with windows?
Father Ted Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 What has Chris Weale and people being thick got to do with windows? Just shut up. If you want to be efficient stop moaning about Weale and more about Nielson
Corky Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Weale wasn't at fault for Anderson's goal, he had no chance with that.
Fox92 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Weale wasn't at fault for Anderson's goal, he had no chance with that. How did he bend it in from there then? It must have had so much bend on it.
Corky Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 How did he bend it in from there then? It must have had so much bend on it. I don't know, but it was a great finish. Weale didn't pull his hand out of the way or any such bollocks, from what I saw it was placed perfectly.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Weale wasn't at fault for any goal from what I saw, and if you saw Logan in the warm-up I thought he was shite!
Fox92 Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Weale wasn't at fault for any goal from what I saw, and if you saw Logan in the warm-up I thought he was shite! He actually gets up quicker than Weale.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 He actually gets up quicker than Weale. I don't think so. Logan spends more time on his back with the ball behind him in the net. I think he is a good back-up but you saying that Weale hasn't been great and Logan should play is nothing short of stupid and entirely unecessary.

All of the 11 players on show yesterday should be dropped, it was a disgrace. I only said that he gets up quicker and dropped Weale, I didn't say Logan was better or anything like that.
