CKB Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 4-0, 3-0??? people seriously, BC ain't no mug of a team some decent players and well we just don't score that amount of goals.. I said it before and i'll say it again the odd goal win or a rubbish loss and if we do win 3/4 nil i will strip in the middle of town that's how confident i am that we will not score more than 2 goals
milan_foxes Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 We'll win but Fryatt WONT score, he's shit. Watch this space.
Ozwin Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Pearson will have ripped the team a new arse hole after Saturday, they should be up for this.
samjohnson Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 We seriously need a win to pick up after a string of disappointing games. We need to show that we are a strong team again and we need to score more goals
Salieri Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 People who think we are gonna bounce back from the Forest debacle by stuffing Bristol City are kidding themselves. They are no mugs and in my humble opinion this has draw written all over it. We might have to save the thumping for Sheff Wed.... It's gonna be 1-1, Waghorn to find the net yet again.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Yeah Bristol ain't no mugs. 3-1 City win. Scorers : Howard (2) Neilson (Overhead Kick from 45 yards out) That's about as likely as Thracian winning the X factor
davieG Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 No more Boobies against Bristol City It's time to pick yourselves up: Nothing's impossible I have found,For when my chin is on the ground, I pick myself up, Dust myself off, Start all over again. Don't lose your confidence if you slip, Be grateful for a pleasant trip, And pick yourself up, Dust yourself off, Start all over again. Work like a soul inspired, Till the battle of the day is won. You may be sick and tired, But you'll be a man, my son! Brown Speaks: Wayne Brown has urged his Leicester City team-mates not to let their demoralising defeat at Nottingham Forest ruin what has been a good season so far. City are still fourth in the Championship after the 5-1 derby defeat at the City Ground and Brown said everyone associated with the squad would concentrate on the positives and not labour over the negatives after their rare shocking performance. The entire squad were called in for training yesterday by manager Nigel Pearson, and Brown said it was vital that they got the defeat out of their system as quickly as possible. "No-one saw that coming," said Brown. "It is very uncharacteristic of us to put a performance in like that. "First and foremost you have to work hard for each other, you have to be a collective unit that is hard to break down, turn bad balls into good balls, and we didn't do that today. He added: "I can't put my finger on why and I wouldn't be standing here if I had those kinds of answers. "It is down to us as individuals now to brush ourselves down and look forward, and not ponder on this result because, if we ponder on it, it will spoil what has been a very good season to date. I won't let that happen as an individual and as a team. "It is down to us big characters now to get around the youngsters, give them a kick up the backside, which they need, but also build them back up again and tell them how good they are, tell them what they have been doing good all season. "This is one performance in 19 games where we haven't been at the races. The fans have every right to have a pop and have their say, slaughter us and we will hold our hands up and take it on the chin. But we will be ready for Tuesday and we won't let this affect our season. "Since I have been at the club we have never been in on a Sunday. Things have to change and be better, and we have to be around each other. "It is a difficult pill to swallow at the moment and the only way to do that is not sitting on our backsides on a Sunday reflecting on this, going over and over the game. "It is about getting it out of our system at the earliest opportunity. I think the gaffer is spot-on with what he has done. He has brought us in to get it out of our system and move forward."
samuel Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 The mongols do it everytime there is a poll, they state we will win by 3 or 4 goals. When do Leicester score goals for fun? It is either done for a laugh or, more likely, done because most on here are kids and all kids do the same thing! Pearson was a defender, he will shut up shop, it will be a 0-0 draw.
Dr The Singh Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 2-0 Pearson and Shakespeare to get the goals I see a bore draw comming on. Pearson will no doubt focus on defence first!!
Guest ttfn Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 0-0. Pearson will be all about defence after Saturday
Fox92 Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 Whatever the score, I should think that Paul Hartley will run midfield. We have a lot to put up with, whilst he is playing. Fantastic signing. Think that Nigel will change it, not completely, but I do think that a few changes will happen. The pressure is on him to drop Fryatt and I would like to see Gallagher/Kermogrant/Waghorn up front - 2 of those 3. Got to play with two wingers so I'd go with Dyer -- N'Guessan there obviosuley. I would drop Brown for Morrison. It was his fault for Forests' third goal and Morrison is a little faster than what Brown is, ecspecially with Maynard up top for Bristol City. Come on Leicester
marbelladave Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 I see a bore draw comming on. Pearson will no doubt focus on defence first!! Pearson is a professional. The first thing he will do is to nail down the defence and try keep a clean sheet. Boring as that is, after saturday it has to be done. Other than that I do not expect any great surprise, though I will point out that with Howard pretty much gone and Fryatt a long way from his best, now would be a really good time to try out some new attacking options. Not holding my breath though.....
maddog Posted 7 December 2009 Author Posted 7 December 2009 This game is going to be more about the performance for me than the result. And the next home game Saturday. I want to see a performance where the players all look like they really want to win, try 100% their best to win, and show urgency all the way through the 90 minutes. A passionate, gritty, attacking, high tempo performance. I want to be impressed Tuesday night like i was after the QPR away win, if we can perform well, please all the fans, the result will take care of itself and we should net the 3 points. But if we don't i won't mind as long as we have performed well and i'm proud of the players effort. I'm massively looking forward to it though being my first game since West Brom.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 I definately think Pearson needs to start playing wingers. Personally, i thought the introduction of Dyer to the game, added that needed pace we needed. But shame nothing was made from his efforts.
cecchini Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 if we did not learn from Saturday we will lose. I'm scared that Pearson sees fit to blame the team (accurate) but does not acknowlegde his tactical mistakes. two nil to them
sdb Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 without sounding like a complete nob can we please not get on the players backs at the first opportunity tomorrow. This game is massive and the players will thrive on a positive atmosphere (and possibly collapse with a poor one) after sat
Guest Bilo Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 Hopefully they'll snap out of their funk and get a win tomorrow night. Am I right in assuming we haven't lost back-to-back since Pearson took over? Badly needed and hard-earned win I reckon. 1-0 win with Fryatt scoring.

Preston and Newcastle (cup/league) I don't think we've lost back-to-back in league though.

Legend_in_blue Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 The boo-boys will be back in town full of festive cheer, er, um, errmmm, well ok, boos not cheers. This is what I'm hoping doesn't happen, but it will after 30 minutes if nothing of note has happened. And it will start with Neilson. If he plays.
