iancognito Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 We've never not bounced back under Pearson and even Brown & Hobbs will be shitting themselves about being locked in the dressing room with Big Nige again. I think we'll edge a 2-1, all in the second half with a nervous finish, it wouldn't be Leicester without a mild panic involved somewhere. And whether it's Neilson or whoever, anyone round me booing will get a mouthful of stick themselves. No-one goes out there TRYING to be crap and if they are having a bad one, Pearson will deal with it. Who'd pay all that money to get in and spend 90 minutes whingeing? Get a life.
MikeyT Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 Think it will be a tough fought game but reckon we'll just sneak it by a goal. 1-0 victory to us.
davieG Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 From the Merc Craig Shakespeare says Leicester City are determined to make amends for Saturday's demoralising derby defeat after clear-the-air talks. The players were called in by manager Nigel Pearson for training and a team meeting on Sunday after the horrendous 5-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest. Assistant manager Shakespeare said the team meeting had been positive and the squad were united in their desire to bounce back against Bristol City tonight at the Walkers Stadium (7.45). "Everyone had their say and it was a very productive meeting," said Shakespeare. "We wanted to get the players in as soon as possible to get Saturday out of our system, to brush ourselves down and to put it behind us, and I think we have done that now. "We are not hiding from the fact that it was embarrassing and everyone is prepared to face up to what happened. Everyone felt it was important not to brush it under the carpet. "It was humiliating as a team and as individuals, and it hurt more because it came against our local rivals in front of a good following of City fans. We let them down. "It was good for everyone to get it off their chests. It was an open floor and we always welcome feedback from the players. "What was said will stay in-house, but there was a strong sense that this group is determined to give a good response tonight. "They are a strong group with a good work ethic, and they are a pleasure to work with. We have not had many of those days and it is now important to put it behind us and look forward. "We need to get back on the bike now and we have always responded well after setbacks, although none have been as bad as that. "Now the players are determined to put in a good performance against Bristol City." Pearson could ring the changes after his side's poor performance, but is expected not to alter the side too much to give the players who let him down at the City Ground the chance to prove their character. Shakespeare vowed City would throw off "the shackles" against Gary Johnson's Bristol side. "The players will go out and express themselves and they won't be shackled," he said. "We will be mindful of Bristol and respect them, but it is about our own attitude. We will put a team out we believe can win the game. "During your career you will always suffer some setbacks, but it is about how you deal with them that matters." City have no fresh injury concerns ahead of tonight's game.
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 I could go to this. I'm not as I'm clearly a curse, the first season I stop watching Leicester City live they start doing well again, until I turned up on Saturday.
Unit Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 best fooking win this. still annoyed about sat and still hungover from my post match drowning of sorrows.
Darkzzz_ Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 Work might get in the way so who can I trust with my ST.
Simo86 Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 I'm going for a scrappy 1-0 win with Gallagher scoring late on

I don't disagree with this but the specific problem with Neilson (as opposed to the others) is it really just looks as if he can't be bothered to try anything else other than pointless balls up the line (which almost always just go straight out of play or to the other team). Whilst watching I genuinely feel that I could have a better go (as in I'd probably be crap, but at least look as if I was trying something different when one plan doesn't work). Even if he fails to play well, I'd just like to see him at least try to do something different with the ball!

I'm sure if he tried something different and it failed as it's most likely to he'd get slagged off just as much if not more. As good or bad as he is he's a marked man and people will only see what they want to see of him.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 without sounding like a complete nob can we please not get on the players backs at the first opportunity tomorrow. This game is massive and the players will thrive on a positive atmosphere (and possibly collapse with a poor one) after sat Well said,Tuesday night games are so much better atmosphere wise, Ild take a stadium with 20 Thousand fans that sing and make noise. Thats why i hate the "money spinners" like Plymouth n Derby where the Atmosphere was shocking!! The bigger attendance the worse the performance. The Walkers will be rocking tonight Would like to see Neillson,Fryatt or Big Yann ,Oakley dropped and bring in Dyer,Gally,Morrison brought back into the squad...Give up saying Adams should be making an appearance really don't know why he has not been given his chance i think he would make a bigger impact than Gradel could do in that final 20mins or so. I'm going for City 3-0 if Nigel has bitch slapped the life out of them since Sat 1-0 If he plays the same Gary Megson style football I've seen alot of this season Oh BTW has KIA been sacked off?? Haven't seen or heard from him since the "Yann contract leak"
lou Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 The way my life is going lately were going to lose <_<

The players will know they let the fans down badly, I'm sure they'll want to make amends in a big way. It was a horrible performance on Saturday, they won't need reminding. Solid support from the crowd will help.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 Just over 350 tickets sold by Bristol City Away fans can pay on the night
Edmund Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 I'm really looking forward to hearing the team news. I think we could be in for one or two shocks. Will also be interesting to see wether Pearson alters his formation or sticks with the current system.
martyn Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 Will be hugely surprised if there is more than 1 goal in the game. Hopefully we'll sneak it but it promises to be a dour battle.
LcfcBoy09 Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 Well to be honest i think Nigel should mix the team up a bit after the dreadful performance at forest something like this ? show your thoughts and opinions. Weale --------- Nielson Hobbs Brown McGivern ----------- N'guessan Wellens Adams Oakley ------------ Kermorgant Waghorn Maybe you think different ? Reply and let me know

In all fairness to nielson hes not gonna be a gradel doing stepovers trying to take players on he hasnt got enough pace for that and im not disagreeing with you he does play the long ball all the time but certain aspects of his game are good like his long throws and headers so lets not get on any of the players backs tonight we need a positive atmosphere for the players to thrive off rather than a stadium full of people moaning "fans" knocking the players confidence even more
