dandannieldanok Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 I fear Brazil but not to the extent everyone else does, they're definitely overrated. Their first choice 11 made hard work of beating our reserves in that friendly the other month.
Finnegan Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 Shit. My early onset scizophrenia has been rumbled.
Uncle Albert Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 I fear Brazil but not to the extent everyone else does, they're definitely overrated. Their first choice 11 made hard work of beating our reserves in that friendly the other month. That's what I mean, we had no Green, Johnson, Terry, Ferdinand, Lennon, Gerrard, Lampard or Heskey. All key starting players for us and Brazil didnt exactly outclass us they were the better side no question but anything more than 1-0 would of flattered them.

While I do get the humour of this thread and the whole "let's all laugh at Radovan because we don't care what he says, rah rah rah" - you might have been missing a few players but if you think that was anything like a full strength Brazil you're absolutely nuts. Brazil's best eleven in full flow are awesome, they really are impressive at the moment when on form. Not to say England aren't a good side and on their day I'm sure they could potentially beat any side in the tournament. But if you think it's likely just because you only narrowly lost to "a" Brazil side with your "reserves" you really are a little bit blinkered.
Uncle Albert Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 I'd fancy.. Green Johnson - Terry - Ferdinand - ColeLennon - Lamps - Barry - GerrardRooney - Heskey To beat a full strength Brazil side, they had more key players playing than we did.

Finnegan Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 wow. You're more delusional than me. Yeah okay Chandler.
Uncle Albert Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 wow. You're more delusional than me. If that was aimed at me then.. Well done you fought that debate very well. If you seriously think that England team there couldnt beat a Brazil side then you are a total fool.

But if you think it's likely just because you only narrowly lost to "a" Brazil side with your "reserves" you really are a little bit blinkered. Are they awesome? The last few times I've seen them they've been distinctly average, being solid at the back and scoring a lot of goals from set-pieces. I don't think we're being blinkered at all, that England team that faced Brazil was shite with only Rooney and Barry the two likely starters in our full strength team, whereas Brazil were almost full strength. Brazil in "full flow" would beat England, but I can't remember Brazil ever being at "full flow" under Dunga; who doesn't seem to play the all out attack of his predecessors. If the eternally disappointing Elano is first choice then is it really a world class team? Albert is right, Spain a far bigger threat.
Finnegan Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 If you seriously think that England team there couldnt beat a Brazil side then you are a total fool. This will be my last post on the matter until you work on your reading comprehension a little bit. Observe: "Not to say England aren't a good side and on their day I'm sure they could potentially beat any side in the tournament." Translated for you: England could maybe beat Brazil like, yeah. "But if you think it's likely just because you only narrowly lost to "a" Brazil side with your "reserves" you really are a little bit blinkered." Translated for you: But them would not be, like, the favourites.
Dr The Singh Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 Finnegan is DEFINITELY - Radovan's Caravan... I know he's definitely been in his caravan, and came out with a smile on his face!!
Brainy Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 It we don't win, it's okay. We've already won it once.
Webbo Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 It we don't win, it's okay. We've already won it once. That's the spirit. I think that should be mentioned more on TV so that our friends in Scotland, Wales and Ireland can keep on congratulating us.
Radovan's Caravan Posted 24 December 2009 Author Posted 24 December 2009 Fuck the Serbs. Brazil arent a team I fear anyway, Spain are the only team I think are better than us. The real world hereby recognises you as President of the New Republic of Ingermongia (salary - 5,000 tins of Carlsberg pa). For the record, Brazil only put out their first XI, on average, for one match every four years. And that match is the World Cup Final...
Daggers Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 And people thought Johnson was me? This has Masterfox's grubby prints all over it!
BlueSi13 Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 Despite RC's repeated belief that he thinks all England fans think we are actually going to win the World Cup, ive yet to meet a single Englishmen who thinks the same way, in fact, the majority express hope that we make it to the quarter finals at best. History tells us not to get too carried away with anything, its a tournament, anything can happen, just look at Greece and Denmark winning major honours against all odds. We like to live in great hope though and we have a bloody good time during the tournaments, whats wrong with mentioning the fact that we won it once before....surely it would be a dam sight stranger if we DIDN'T remind ourselves that we did it before....why not again? Still believe Brazil will walk the next two tournaments mind.

Without wishing to sound pompous (and failing miserably) you might care to scroll through my posts to find out EXACTLY what I do believe (I know that you have better ways to waste your time - we all have). You might find mulling over my 'Inconvenient World Cup Truths' posts on the 2010 thread illuminating. Perhaps after finding out that in World Cups hosted on foreign soil that your first knock out phase win took a mere 36 years to arrive and that the most highly ranked team that you have ever beaten in the latter stages of the tournament is BELGIUM you might be overcome by the light... and opt to lie down in a darkened room.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 We still won the fooking world cup What you ever won hey ? You lot couldn't even win a fooking war with France. Your the sort of country what no one ever fooking heard of. Whats the capital of serbia ? No one really could give a fook because your pointless. You got nothing to be proud of at all. Hardly like you got famous musicans or ever done anything in history. Seriously you should of stuck with the name yugoslavia, atleast then people knew you ... Awww your from the country with the really stupid name.
Edmund Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 Serbia will win the world cup. Mark my words!!!

Like all Ingermongs you take pride in being porcine - pig ignorant, thick as pigshit and, come next June, pig sick
MC Prussian Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 Serbia will win the world cup. Mark my words!!! What year - or which World Cup are you talking about??? Seriously, this whole "my-nation-is-better-than-yours" talk gets a bit repetitive. Obviously, RC's main online purpose in life is slagging off England and its fans. Get a grip, I don't believe a majority of England fans fancy their team to win the Cup that easily, if at all. Also, take a look at how the tournament has developed over the years. There's been more competition (expansion to up to 32 teams), better overall quality of football worldwide. It's not like one of the "big" nations has a blank cheque winning it automatically - given the circumstances, even Brazil can catch a bad phase at one point. In addition to that, here's my two cents to the "Nation" debate: The smallest country ever to win the World Cup was Uruguay (twice in the beginnings). Since then, no state with less than 40 million inhabitants (Argentina) has managed to win the prestigious football trophy. So, unless proven otherwise, all smaller nations can stick their World Cup dreams up theirs. Fact. And that includes my own dear country, unfortunately. But at least I can be proud knowing they've made it this far because they're THAT good.
Edmund Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 What year - or which World Cup are you talking about??? I'm taking the piss Alex I'm sure you know that, as a mod surely you can tell if radovans ip matches up with finnegan as i've got a sneaky suspicion their's a welshamn with a england problem on this board.
MC Prussian Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 I'm taking the piss Alex We both know neither Serbia nor Wales will win the World Cup in the foreseeable future. I'm sure you know that, as a mod surely you can tell if radovans ip matches up with finnegan as i've got a sneaky suspicion their's a welshamn with a england problem on this board. Yeah, but to me the equation Finners=RC doesn't match. Two very different styles of writing. Two different IP addresses, although RC's is near the Welsh region . I can but assume RC's a bit in his later years (Ultimate Keyboard Warrior and all). Also, I've seen Finners and RC online at the same time, and I doubt the former is that much addicted to FT he'd use two IT connections simultaneously.
