Ford Super Sunday Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Lowest League Position: 6th League One (28/10/2008). Highest League Position - 1st Premier League (01/10/2000). I think all those stats sum up our decade brilliantly and accuratly, but those two sum it up with such great emphasis. Love the goal difference of +2, and the small win difference!
ACF Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Highest League Position - 1st Premier League (01/10/2000). Ahhh,
Daggers Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Longest Unbeaten League Sequence: 23 (01/11/08 – 11/03/09).Most Consecutive Wins: 5 (15/03/03 – 08/04/03) & (22/11/08 – 20/12/08). Lovely season.
Matt Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Quite surprised Fryatt's our top scorer initially, but then you look that he has made the most appearances in that time, then you also think back over some of the shite players we've had over the decade and think well who else has really challenged or pushed to be up there? Had to laugh at Top of the Prem to 6th in League One. I really think, and hope its has took a decade to get over the damage the cunt Peter Taylor did, He ruined us back in 2000 (Despite taking us to the top of the Prem - With someone elses players may I add) it has took a decade to recover from him and we are just getting stablised again and making our big return at end off the last decade Barr the last year on a whole it's a decade to forget as a LCFC fan
Hitesh Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 And people still want to see Fryatt out! Has anyone got our stats from the 90's?? Would be interesting to see how they compare.
Guest Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Rollercoaster! Take out the league positions and the opposite is true!!
jonthefox Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 And people still want to see Fryatt out!Has anyone got our stats from the 90's?? Would be interesting to see how they compare. my point exactly. the mans fast becoming a legend. does anyone else think he`ll bang in 100 goals for us?
C-man Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 does anyone else think he`ll bang in 100 goals for us? Not if he gets sold this window he won't. Give him till the Summer.
Koke Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 He got 57 goals now. He'll get 100 before he turns 26 or 27. If he stays at the club, that is.
Joe. Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Read something in last month's FourFourTwo that Adrian Chiles had wrote about supporting West Brom saying how his time spent supporting the club had pretty much evened itself out. Goals scored and conceded are virtually the same and there's not a lot in the win and lose margins either, so I guess the same could be said for us over the last ten years. Interesting figures...
step Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Record in all competitions - P490, W173, D151 Out of a posible 1470 points we only gained 670 points, from 490 games we gained an average of 1.36 points per game which aint brill but concidering the crap we have had to put up with in the last ten years it is better that I expected. Does anyone have the average points per season for the last ten years

It's amazing isn't it. It'd felt like we'd lost or drew the majority of games throughout probably the 4 or 5 seasons before last season, but over the last 10 years we've won more than we've lost or drew - I can't honestly believe that.

That's taken from his book "We don't know what we're doing" - it's basically his diary of following WBA home and away during their Premiership relegation season (the season after the one where Bryan Robson miraculously kept them up on the last day of the season after they had been bottom at Christmas). It's an interesting read.

Take those two years out and you will have a fairer representation of the mediocrity of which you speak

Hitesh Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 But you can't say take out the best two seasons and see how bad we were - it was all part of what happened. You could then say lets take out the worst seasons and see how we look after that - of course it will be better! If we didn't have a bad season and then get relegated then we wouldn't (most likely) have had the season stats like we had in League 1. Likewise when Micky Adams got us promoted - wouldn't have happened if hadn't been relegated the season before! Its all part and parcel of the decade - you have the highs and lows.
Sampson Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 It has been a very down decade really for us. It started really well and it's ended really well, but the 8 years in between were forgettable. With the possible exception of the Brian Hamilton/David Pleat era I can't think of one extended period where Leicester were so poor. Even Frank McLintock's reign was short lived.
Joe. Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 Just dug up some stats from our league fixtures: Played: 434 Won: 145 Drew: 144 Lost: 145
