I look forward to seeing some surprised Leicester fans on Sunday as they see an Ipswich side run rings round their players. Wouldn't be far wrong actually for the score. From what I hear your lot are playing some good stuff without getting all 3 points to show for it a lot of the time. Similar position to us when we last dropped out of the Prem and the three or four seasons after that, we ended up in the bottom half and relegated because of the draws and the points we threw away. If we're in a Bristol mood, you'll turn us over, if we're back in Fortress Filbo mood, you'll have a long drive back.
ipswichfan Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Well you're sort of right. That was the case for September and a few games after that, but the progress has been very evident. We've become much more of a solid unit. Our defence has surprisingly turned impeccable of late and that's probably our strongest asset at the moment. Our midfield is looking good with the likes of Leadbitter, Norris and Walters...it's up front where we're lacking, especially with Jon Stead suspended when he was just hitting top form. If we do score on Sunday it probably won't be more than one so if we're to beat you it'd only be 1-0. I think you'll probably just have that extra confidence (and luck ) to send us away without victory for the fifth time in 5 attempts I think. I don't know if I'll be able to go with 20cm of snow at my house atm and more snow on the way. I went we we lost 3-1 to you a few season ago and found your stadium soulless and the entrance music cheesy, not to mention we played shite. We left after 87 minutes and our consolation deflected goal by Matt Richards came 2 minutes later That day we somehow managed to get into a Leicester fan pub behind the away fan corner. Had to pay for entry though..booo

He was immense last season but as he doesn't score or assist then he doesn't hit the headlines. He is a really worker though and puts 110% commitment in. He disrupts plays and gets amongst you like a cat amongst pigeons. Unfortunately he got knee ligament damage 50 minutes into our first game of the season when Jon Stead volley Norris' knee rather than the ball. He's only just returning from injury now and has played 50 minutes in each of the last 3 games before being subbed. Hopefully he'll be pushing towards 70 minutes on Sunday.
