Maybes Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 For gords sake he is 35yrs old going on 36 this year? In his day a very good player, but that was in his day. Born in 1974?He has trained recently at Colchester and Newcastle he is looking for his last pay cheque and gravy train why does it have to be us? I would have thought we would have learnt from the Edgar fooking Davids affair clearly not!? Will be annoyed if we get rid of Gradel to Leeds for this over the hill OAP! What you mean, how he didn't sign for us?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 And everyone doubted the source. Mwahaha. Not I.
Ozwin Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 He's a right back isn't he? Or at least that's what I remember him being. Better than Nielson too. Get him in.
Sods Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 He's a right back isn't he? Or at least that's what I remember him being. Better than Nielson too. Get him in. Right Mid he used to be.

Samilktray Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 Would love us to try and tempt Jay-Jay Okocha out of retirement.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 I'd rather sign Solano than Davids. Mandaric's going for the push for the Premiership.

lavrentis Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 Nobbie, provides experience with that little bit of class, could teach King a thing or two

How old was Powell when he signed for us? After training with Colchester too, if I remember correctly
Legend_in_blue Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 He can certainly take a decent set piece. If he's still got pace, take him on. Just imagine, Neilson linking up with Solano down the flanks.
Thracian Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 Didn't Cadamarteri and Kermorgant impress in training? Admittedly Solano sounds as good a proposition as any of the veteran stars MM seemed to crave in the past like JFH, Robbie Fowler and Edgar Davids. But remember Lee Hendrie? He was a biggish name but he just didn't have the staying power any more. I sometimes wonder if we'll ever learn. Solano would be another short-term gamble for a management and a club so desperate for instant achievement that I feel quite sure their self-imposed pressure will be their undoing anyway. But then there's no doubting we've had far worse old timers than Solano.
OneHorseVillage Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 Am I the only one who rates Robbie Neilson? Yes.
jonthefox Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 nobby solano, fookin ell, it`ll be edgar fookin davids next.
Legend_in_blue Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 Yes. Oh no, no, no. There's at least two of us...
Guest Mee-9 Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 If you view the Video on the LCFC homepage, the latest news, It shows Solano in the training kit with the squad number 33 We ain't got a number 33
Fox You Forest Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 We ain't got a number 33 That's probably why he wore that one then.
Ozwin Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 Why did Colchester not sign him when they had the chance?
Jimothy Posted 21 January 2010 Posted 21 January 2010 Teddy Sheringham Dean Windass Ryan Giggs Paul Scholes Gary Speed Paul Furlong Could probably name more. All played at this level or higher to a relatively high standard, at the same age or older than Nobby. Don't see how age is an issue really. His game was never about pace, it was about quality. His crossing a deadballs will be an asset.
