Guest Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Breaking on SSN Apparently waiting for official confirmation but reporting it still. Feel free to merge if there's already a thread
Guest Bilo Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 No surprise to be honest. Have been struggling to pay their players for a while and Tango Man has wanted out for a couple of years. Wonder if Warnock will bring up our period in adminstration again to bemoan the injustice of their 10 point deduction?
Guest Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 -10 points immediately I assume? Yes if confirmed, would be down to 27 I think
Matt Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Generic comment from me when a club goes into administation. Feel sorry for the fans, but what goes around comes around, They wanted and voted for a points deduction when clubs go into Administration, They've got it.
dandannieldanok Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 We should take advantage and get Darren Ambrose on the cheap.
StanSP Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 We should take advantage and get Darren Ambrose on the cheap. There'd be massive competition for his signature. Think he'll go to a Prem club.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Victor Moses and Matty Fryatt up front. The dream.
Fosse Boy Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Generic comment from me when a club goes into administation.Feel sorry for the fans, but what goes around comes around, They wanted and voted for a points deduction when clubs go into Administration, They've got it. Sums it up. Especially the fact that it's Warnock involved means I have slightly less sympathy than usual for a club going into admin.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Well it's a positive thing for us... means they're not right behind us in the league.
StanSP Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Well it's a positive thing for us... means they're not right behind us in the league. They'll soon overtake us Level with Scunny in 21st once confirmed. 4 points above relegation.
Spencer Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 More breathing room between ourselves and mid-table then!
gosfox Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 How long will it be before we are down to Premier league division one and Premier League division two.... with all other clubs either defunct or semi-professional? Not long I fear
maddog Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 We need everything we can get, Palace were catching us up, so -10 for them is a big bonus for us We could move 6 points clear with a game in hand from 9th place now, really build up a nice big cushion clear from the chasing group and stick with the top six. If only
Monk Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Horrible feeling we will see a few of these over the next 12 months. Sad for Palace fans, but laughing at Warnock.
Edmund Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 I feel for Warnock and the fans. I'm sticking my neck out here but I'm actually a big fan of Warnock. I used to dislike him mainly for his comments saying that we should've had points deducted and relegated but over the last few years he's grown on me. He's a character in football which will cease to exist soon and I like how he speaks his mind. He's done a tremendous job on a shoe string budget at Palace and all his hard work will be blighted by finances. He must feel cheated if the ten point deduction comes into place, especially considering they've already lost points due to the goal that never was earlier in the season.
Matt Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 I think it's "immoral" what Palace and Warnock are doing. I'd forgot Warnock was their manager when I posted my first post - Adds to that comment of mine though - What goes around comes around.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Horrible feeling we will see a few of these over the next 12 months. Sad for Palace fans, but laughing at Warnock. Pretty much sums up how I feel about the whole thing. The fans are the ones who will suffer as they watch their best players leaving the club en masse for piss-taking transfer fees as the vultures circle. Let's just hope they don't lose all the talent and end up in a relegation battle, else the club's existence will really be under threat.
Dylan Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Onee less play-off competitor hopefullyy .. We should try and snap up one of their players on the cheap before the windows shuts..
Bert Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Warnock's a good manager who just says what he thinks. What's wrong with that? The majoirty of Leicester fans wouldn't hate him if he wouldn't have said what he did 7 years ago. He wanted his team in the Premiership and he wanted to get there by any way he could, and he could see this as a way through for them. Not gonna laugh or anything, because I remember how I felt when we went into admin.
coale39 Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Not gonna take the piss. I find it so sad when clubs have to sell their best players because of off the field crap.
Jon the Hat Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 It is extremely funny that this has happened to Warnock. I bet he feels less strongly that the 10 point penalty is a good idea now. Palace Fans have my utmost sympathy, I hope this doesn't result in a player exodus and relegation.
