Two problems with take, there's absolutely no guarantee they'll be 'handled properly' in fact considering how many fans boast about being so pissed they can't even remember the game makes the whole thing quite scary.

You seem to recognise there is a risk involved, now that's fine if you want to take it but you're also putting others at risk.

Reading about the circumstances of this latest flare it seems that they had no idea about what they were doing or the danger they were putting people in by carelessly throwing it to the ground.

Just to add it took much less than the remnants of a flare to cause the Bradford City Stadium fire which killed 54 people

Might have this wrong, but didn't you once say you'd set someone's hat on fire back at Filbo? Surely that's 'putting others at risk' more than a flare which despite being used week in, week out around the world have an extremely fvcking minimal amount of accidents connected to them?

Usual merry-go-round of old boys having a pop at lads for doing exactly the sort of stuff they were doing in their youth.

I didwhistle.gif well I didn't set it on fire just put a bit of burning paper in the brim. but I didn't say it was clever and all before I watched the horrific Bradford Stadium fire scenes. Some times it takes a thing like that to make you aware of the danger involved.

I've no doubt I did many stupid things as a youth and was rightly reminded of the consequences of those actions, so I'm not having a 'pop' as such just reminding people of the consequences and responding to the 'pros'.

Just assume I'm in an argumentative mood tongue.png Oh and as long as any future flares are nowhere near me, with my lungs I'd probably die of smoke inhalation.

Fair enough. This Bradford fire argument shit stinks of double standards though. That fire was started by a single cigarette but in the 20-odd years of smoking in grounds that followed, I bet nobody that goes on a moral crusade about flares even batted an eye-lid as thousands of geezers tossed their lit fags on the ground every game, most people were probably doing it themselves.

Well it wasn't the cigarette in isolation it was the combination of the wooden stand and all the collective shite that lay under it. Again just because people may have double standards doesn't make things acceptable. Anyway it was cited more in respect of the impact it had on me and what formulates my thoughts on the subject because that was scary as hell.

**Stuff**

Anybody thinking of taking a flare to Peterborough really might want to re-assess that thought and not bother. Just a kind word of warning in advance..

A flare was let off at the Palace - West Brom match by Palace fans.

Leicester fans seem to be setting a trend it seems.

Loved the flares today outside the ground whilst city fans where being ushered away from the stadium.

Was hilarious watching the coppers try to them out. :giggle:

Yeah there was actually 2 flares outside the walkers as it was my mate that set them off, and we were in the thick of it :D the coppers had no clue!

Are you sure as they had camcorders.

Think they should have a couple at Cardiff on Wednesday!

Anyone think of doing so....I had the most right search on me at the league game. Them Welsh boys really give you a feel-up.

I was speaking to someone tonight who wants to take a flare to Cardiff but doesn't know where to buy one.

MarineShop

You can get 'em there but no chance of getting any in time for Cardiff on internets. I want one of them ones that you fire in the air to see what happens when you fire them at a parked car.

You might be able to get some from those 'outdoor pursuit' shops
