Stewards are Nazi's!

:crylaugh:

It's the brown shirts, goose stepping and repression of the jews that gives it away.

The funniest thing - that was being sung to all of the big black stewards at Palace...

oh dear

What happened to the vid / pic?

If you're on about the one I mentioned, I haven't been home yet to upload it. It's not that great as someone's arm is in the way but you'l get the idea.

No it's just I thought I'd seen a youtube link earlier on at college (obviously we can't access youtube there) which seems to have gone now...

Might well just be my overactive imagination though!

I can see the Scow and my toes..

Looks even less safe there now next to the wooden seats than it did last night..

I'm sure it's all jolly good fun, but am I the only one looking at the potential consequences bearing in mind the authorities are bound to be pissed off by this.

At the very least more body searches and innocent items confiscated, if it escalates amongst LCFC fans then it's not entirely impossible they could ban us from away games.

It's certainly not beyond the possibility!

I don't blame you for your concern. Apparently every Coventry fan got searched at Peterborough the other week after Ipswich let off three there. I'm sure we'll all be enjoying a thorough frisking there now.

Have you noticed that neither incident (Blackpool or last night) has been so much as mentioned in any press? If it was any sort of issue there'd surely be some discussion outside of this forum - as it is, I really don't see this as a problem.

Keep it up as far as I'm concerned! Though perhaps not at Cardiff away...

There's all this talk of the stewards being Nazi's, but would a Nazi give my girlfriend a Cadbury's Caramel egg? Ey, EY???? That steward was a lovely chap.

I'm sure Nazis like chocolate. :dunno:

Just because it's not in the media doesn't mean that the football authorities and the clubs themselves aren't discussing it. Whether 'fans' see it as a problem is frankly totally irrelevant after all many don't see standing as problem and that is on the whole considerably less dangerous and subject to much control and scrutiny.

I'd guess also that were someone to be injured by one then the club would most likely being under the threat of being sued for damages.

Suppose so, though it would take someone pretty "special" to manage to injure themselves using a glorified glow stick. Yes I know they're hot and all that but if handled properly...

Frankly I'm just an advocate of anything that flies in the face of this H&S obsessed society - being alive used to mean the chance to have fun, experiment, take a risk now and then; now the only risk you could seem to be able to take would be to throw yourself in front of a train and see what happens.

If there was any real danger of the club being jeopardised though, of course I'd stay to stop.

Agree with Davie on this.

It's kids stuff though, I'd be surprised if any of those involved were over 20, and if they are, all the more reason to be ashamed of themselves.

Don't know about you lot but I was there to watch the game and have a bit of fun, I shouldnt have to think about a flare being let off by whoever was directly 1 row behind me, and causing a serious fire/burn hazard. I hate sounding like an old moaner but it really was a stupid thing to do.

Has she got blonde hair and blue eyes?

Yeah, take all the risks you like buddy, seriously, as long as they don't put me at risk!

Try jumping out of a plane without a parachute or something, sounds your kind of thing.

Do you really need a flare to feel 'alive'?

Two problems with take, there's absolutely no guarantee they'll be 'handled properly' in fact considering how many fans boast about being so pissed they can't even remember the game makes the whole thing quite scary.

You seem to recognise there is a risk involved, now that's fine if you want to take it but you're also putting others at risk.

Reading about the circumstances of this latest flare it seems that they had no idea about what they were doing or the danger they were putting people in by carelessly throwing it to the ground.

Just to add it took much less than the remnants of a flare to cause the Bradford City Stadium fire which killed 54 people
