deep blue Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Can't believe N'Guessan hasn't been involved in the last few games. He's had a positive effect in almost every game he's played recently. In view of the heavy schedule of games and the effect of yesterday's cow field, I'd like to see both himself and Adams start on Tuesday, anyway, if only to allow some weary legs to be rested. Maybe give Bruce a go too, for the same reason?
sbfox Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 ---------------Weale---------------- --Morrison--Hobbs--Brown--Berner-- ---------Oakley--Wellens--King-- -------Waghorn--Kermogant--Dyer-- Just because Kermo WILL win 90% of headers and we do need an outlet ball...

The only other change that needs making is for Morrison to replace Brown, with Solano at right back. Then just let them go for it and be very positive...

I don't think Solano's fit enough for 90 minutes, leastwise when he came on against S****horpe he had an arse the size of house - not that I generally look at blokes arses
Trav Le Bleu Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown BernerOakley Gallagher KingWaghorn N'Guessan Dyer Liking this, plus also I'd like to see Solano get a proper run out - 20 mins at least. Surely he not so old and knackered that he won't last more than 10 mins, which is all Pearson seems willing to risk him for at the moment. (Before everyone jumps on me, I'm not knocking Pearson and it's just my opinion! )
Joe. Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 I'd swap N'Guessan for Dyer personally. I still don't get it.
mmarkie Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 I would like to see N'guessan back into the front three and Kermorgant come in instead of Waghorn. Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown Berner Oakley© Wellens King N'guessan Kermorgant Dyer

Trav Le Bleu Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Bob on.Wellens needs dropping with his displays of late. Yeah, as far as I can see (though I've only actually seen a handful of games this season) it's the one obvious change that needs making sadly, he started so well.
mmarkie Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Yeah, as far as I can see (though I've only actually seen a handful of games this season) it's the one obvious change that needs making sadly, he started so well. It's against his old team, lets face it, he won't be dropped.
lcfcsnow Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 As Pearson says, it needs freshening up. Hopefully he'll make the required changes, which are. Weale Solano Hobbs Morrison Berner ------------ Wellens ----Adams------------ King N'Guessan Waghorn Gallacher In a 4-3-3 not a 4-5-1. Wellens stays back at all times, he can't shoot apart from shooting himself in the foot when he tries to pass. Solano and Berner would both be interesting to see as attacking full backs. Adams and King are used for creating opportunites, Oakley can come in if King fails to deliver in a role further forward.
Salieri Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Stick N'Guessan out on the right wing and bring Gally back into a central attacking midfield role (at the expense of Wellens).

I wonder whether Waghorn is still carrying an injury, and could do with resting, in which case Kermo starting instead.
Scow Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Wellens really frustrates me - he's clearly got talent and footballing nous, but he gives the ball away too easily. He's always looking for the 'spectacular' pass when he should be trying to help us retain possession, especially when we're away from home and the opposition are taking the game to us. He's been dropped before and I wouldn't be surprised if he was dropped again. The problem is that Oakley has been as equally as bad at times and I wouldn't know which one to drop. Wellens is more likely to be dropped owing to Oakley's captaincy. They're both capable of much more, so it's frustrating to see them gives the ball away as often as they do.
Walshy5 Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs brown berner King Oakley Wellens N,guessan Gallagher dyer Id like to see gallagher down the middle.
the buckwheat Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Same as last three matches for me They play every Tuesday and Saturday, I think we can change the team Some players need a rest We've all seen that on Pilgrims' field of potatoes We have a good bench or not ? C'mon N'Guessan, Solano, Kermorgant and Howard
caz05 Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Bob on.Wellens needs dropping with his displays of late. agree
Mikey Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Same as last 3 but replace Gallagher with N'Guessan.
marbelladave Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 We need to create more from midfield. Against determined opponents Oakley, King and Wellens are too similar, someone needs to produce something different and the only players we have who can do that are Gallagher and Adams. Gallagher has been getting the games, so for me, he would get the nod, if he doesn't produce try Adams. Up front, despite all his hustle and bustle we need someone with a bigger presence to lead the line, and in any case Waghorn is better on the right where he can come inside on his strong left foot. The obvious choice is N'Guessan, who looks more like a proper striker than anyone else bar Fryatt. He is also the only one of our forwards who looks capable of imposing himself and taking the half chances that are made in the box. If you want to get really exotic you can push N'Guessan and Waghorn right up front, but starting from the flanks, with Kermorgant as a deep lying center forward between and slightly behind these two. This may sound overcomplex but it is really just a way of getting players to play in their best and most natural roles, always a great advantage in my view!
Fox92 Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Same as the previous matches. Why change an unbeaten side?
sbfox Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Same as the previous matches. Why change an unbeaten side? Mainly because they've played 3 games in 7 days and need a rest.
