Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 March 2010 Posted 3 March 2010 I had: 1. Toon 2. WBA 3. Forest 4. Swansea 5. LCFC 6. Boro ------ 22. Palace 23. Plymouth 24. Posh Would certainly not like Swansea in the playoff semis, but if thats how it is gonna be well I'll take it. Really think Cardiff will miss out again with either Sheff U or Boro nicking 6th, more likely to be Boro.
Mort Posted 3 March 2010 Posted 3 March 2010 With the play-offs being Forest vs Cardiff and Leicester vs Swansea, I think we'd have a good chance of making it to the final and then possibly facing Forest for a place in the Premiership! Not that that would make any difference to Forest you understand
StanSP Posted 3 March 2010 Posted 3 March 2010 For me: 1. Newcastle 95pts (26) 2. WBA 91 (28) 3. Forest 82 (21) 4. Leicester 81 (27) 5. Cardiff 76 (27) 6. Swansea 74 (18) 7. Coventry 64 (18) 8. Sheff Utd 63 (15) 9. Blackpool 62 (15) 10. Middlesbrough 62 (15) 11. Reading 61 (23) 12. Ipswich 61 (23) 13. Preston 61 (19) 14. Watford 59 (20) 15. Barnsley 59 (14) 16. QPR 55 (18) 17. Bristol City 55 (13) 18. S****horpe 49 (11) 19. Doncaster 48 (7) 20. Derby 48 (11) 21. Sheff Weds 48 (14) 22. Crystal Palace 47 (13) 23. Plymouth 44 (15) 24. Peterborough 35 (11) Surprised myself a bit with my predictions. Numbers in brackets are how many points teams will pick up from remaining matches. I've kept the page open if you want to know any particular results I predicted!
FoxyPV Posted 3 March 2010 Posted 3 March 2010 Leicester will storm to top place as the rest fall to pieces following our victory over forest and win back to back promotions and championships!!!!! :D
Guest DavidJCW Posted 3 March 2010 Posted 3 March 2010 Not that that would make any difference to Forest you understand Well if we beat them 3-0 again, I think it might mean something to them then!
Guppy Posted 3 March 2010 Posted 3 March 2010 1. Newcastle (98) 2. WBA (86) 3. Forest (86) 4. Boro (76) 5. Leicester (75) 6. Swansea (75) 7. Sheff Utd (71) 8. Cardiff (70) ------ 22. S****horpe (45) 23. Plymouth (41) 24. Posh (40)
The Doctor Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 Needless to say which blue team I'd like to win the Playoff final at Wembley... don't the other three teams play in red?
Foxhateram Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 don't the other three teams play in red? Bourough's away kit is blue. Maybe he was referring to that? or maybe he got sheff u and sheff wed mixed up?
dogadug Posted 17 March 2010 Author Posted 17 March 2010 Looks even more promising now!! Having looked at the remaining matches again on here, I just can't see us not finishing in the play-offs.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 March 2010 Posted 18 March 2010 Just done the predictor again, and this is how it has come out: 1. Toon 97 2. WBA 87 ----------------- 3. Forest 80 4.Swansea 73 5.LCFC 72 6. Cardiff 70 ---------------- 7. Sheff Utd 69 8. Boro 67 9. Blackpool 64 --------------- 22. Scunny 47 23. Plymouth 43 24. Posh 39 That was me being deliberately harsh on us, losing at Cardiff, Derby, WBA and only drawing at Posh, and drawing at home to Reading and Boro. That is only 12 points more than what we currently have so really I think if we get about 74 that should be a certainty for a playoff place.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 23 March 2010 Posted 23 March 2010 It's that time of the season; squeaky bum time. idle away those long, dark March evenings with the BBC Predictor. I'm sure we all did it last season. I had this finish: 1. Whining Geordies 2. WBA 3. F****st 4. Cardiff 5. Swansea 6. LCFC Six points clear of the seventh. Home and dry then?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 23 March 2010 Posted 23 March 2010 Pretty sure there is a thread somewhere, but nevemind. I did it and decided to be very harsh on us, picking only 3/4 points up and missing out on the playoffs on GD. I then did it again properly for about 23rd time and had this: 1. Toon 2. WBA 3. Forest 4. LCFC 5. Swansea 6. Cardiff

fatmando Posted 23 March 2010 Posted 23 March 2010 I was well harsh on us and we are still finishing 6th :scarf:
Simo86 Posted 24 March 2010 Posted 24 March 2010 Just did it. Newcastle came top with West brom 2nd. Play-offs were forest (3rd) City (4th) Cardiff (5th) and Swansea (6th). Relegated were Peterborough, Plymouth and Sheff Wed with Derby staying up on goal difference
AyewJoking Posted 24 March 2010 Posted 24 March 2010 I was being pessimistic but we still finish 4th with our only defeat being away at West Brom.
dogadug Posted 24 March 2010 Author Posted 24 March 2010 I was being pessimistic but we still finish 4th with our only defeat being away at West Brom. Surely saying that we're going to have just 1 defeat in all our remaining games is optimistic
StanSP Posted 24 March 2010 Posted 24 March 2010 I just did our remaining matches and we finished top
dogadug Posted 30 March 2010 Author Posted 30 March 2010 Noticed that quite a few people were using the predictor, so have bumped this up so anyone who wants to use it can find it easily.
surrifox Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 Of course if cardiff are put in administartion they will lose 10 points which will change things a bit
Guest DavidJCW Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 Thought I'd post this in here too as it's more where I wanted it posted before. I went back to the BBC predictor and decided to be pretty harsh on us in the final 7 games and as nice to the other teams as I can without being over the top. 6. Leicester City - L, L, D, W, W, L, D = 69 pts 7. Reading - W, D, D, L, W, W, W, W = 69 pts 8. Blackpool - W, D, L, D, W, W = 68 pts 9. Middlesbrough - W, W, W, L, D, D = 65 pts 10. Coventry City - W, D, D, W, D, W = 64 pts 11. Sheffield United - W, L, D, W, D, D = 63 pts Granted it could come down to goal difference, but with us having a good defense and a positive goal difference and Reading currently having a fairly poor one, it could still end up in our favour. Of course, this is all if our final matches end up being as predicted above. To be honest, I'll be hoping Cardiff get a 10 point deduction as I don't think I can stand the pressure of it being so tight!
StanSP Posted 30 March 2010 Posted 30 March 2010 Newcastle - 99pts West Brom - 93 Nottm Forest 81 Swansea - 76 Leicester - 74 Cardiff - 72 Reading - 67 Middlesbrough - 64 Coventry - 62 Sheff Utd - 61 Blackpool - 60 Doncaster - 60 Bristol City - 60 Ipswich - 58 Preston - 56 Barnsley - 56 Derby - 55 S****horpe - 55 QPR - 54 Watford - 52 Crystal Palace - 48 (-5 GD) Sheff Wed - 48 (-22 GD) Plymouth - 42 Peterborough - 32
