How will the table finish?

Recommended Posts

Now we're close to the end I get:

Newcastle 102

WBA 95

Forest 83

Swansea 78

Cardiff 76

City 73

Then quite a gap to Blackpool 7th with 68, same as Reading (they have such a tough run in!)

Thought I'd post this in here too as it's more where I wanted it posted before. :P

I went back to the BBC predictor and decided to be pretty harsh on us in the final 7 games and as nice to the other teams as I can without being over the top.

6. Leicester City - L, L, D, W, W, L, D = 69 pts

7. Reading - W, D, D, L, W, W, W, W = 69 pts

8. Blackpool - W, D, L, D, W, W = 68 pts

9. Middlesbrough - W, W, W, L, D, D = 65 pts

10. Coventry City - W, D, D, W, D, W = 64 pts

11. Sheffield United - W, L, D, W, D, D = 63 pts

Granted it could come down to goal difference, but with us having a good defense and a positive goal difference and Reading currently having a fairly poor one, it could still end up in our favour. Of course, this is all if our final matches end up being as predicted above.

To be honest, I'll be hoping Cardiff get a 10 point deduction as I don't think I can stand the pressure of it being so tight! lol

Hasnt it past that date where 10 point deductions will occur next season instead of current season. To stop teams going into admin 10 mins before the end of season.

1 Newcastle 96

2 West Brom 90

3 Nottm For 79

4 Cardiff C 74

5 Swansea C 71

6 Leicester 70

7 Blackpool 65

8 Doncaster 63

9 Middlesbro 62

10 Sheff Utd 62

11 Reading 64

Taken from statto.com, current position and predicted points total based on form and remaining games. Until this says we won't finish top 6 I'm not remotely worried  .

Nah Cardiff can get their points deduction 3 days after the season ends I think.

I've just had a look at statto.com and, taking points won per game by each team over the last 6 games i.e. current form, multiplying that by the number of games each team has left, I get the following final table;

1. Newcastle 99

2. WBA 95

3. Forest 79

4. Cardiff 78

5. Reading 71

6. Leicester/Swansea 68

7. Swansea/Leicester 68

8. Blackpool 67

9. Doncaster 66

10. Bristol City 62

11. Middlesbrough 61

12. Sheff U 60

13. Ipswich/S****horpe/Coventry 58

14. S****horpe/Coventry/Ipswich 58

15. Coventry/Ipswich/S****horpe 58

16. Preston/Barnsley/QPR 55

17. Barnsley/QPR/Preston 55

18. QPR/Preston/Barnsley 55

19. Derby 54

20. Sheff W 51

21. Watford 48

22. Crystal Palace 47

23. Plymouth 46

24. Peterborough 36

I think that's only for teams who are pretty much down already

i did the predictor thing and have us finishing 6th 1 point ahead of blackpool ill settle for that

same here

Although i got a feeling if Reading win there 2 games in hand, they might sneak above us

Best case scenario is that we finish 6th imo.

I might be wrong, but doesn't that mean we play the 3rd placed team in the play-offs?

No F****t final then.

i thought it was 3rd plays 6th and 4th plays 5th

3rd place hardly ever wins iirc, hehe

Hull did it from third a couple years back! Derby the year before that, Watford the year before that..

Best time to play Forest would be semi's I think, due to their immensely shit away form at the minute. Wembley is too neutral to risk it!

We'll finish 5th as swansea will capitulate in fear at our immense form at the moment

We better not finish 5th then!

It's 3rd plays 6, and 4th plays 5th
