StanSP Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 What Webbo said. No red cards all of last season up until someone mentioned it in March. Next game - red card for one of our players. I know it's coincidence but I'd love the record to continue!
davieG Posted 14 March 2010 Author Posted 14 March 2010 Don't jinx it. There's always a first time. What Webbo said. No red cards all of last season up until someone mentioned it in March. As it's already been posted on another forum it's a bit late to worry about jinxes and bad omens
Edmund Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 Unfortunately our record at Wembley is very much likened to Jekyll and Hyde.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 We've never lost a semi final leg in the playoffs, must be a good omen. But we arent there yet!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 We've never lost a semi final leg in the playoffs, must be a good omen. But we arent there yet! Mere formality
hairy Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 You've jinxed it now. Just like the list of teams you had in your sig which had never gone down to the third tier the year we got relegated to the third tier.

As I said above as it and the '9 clubs' list had/have been posted on other forums I doubt my posting with have any jinxing impact, even if you believe in such bolloxs. Where's my lucky pants?

Corky Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 Hopefully, should we remain in the top 6, that record will be kept in tact. And continues into next season as we reach the Carling Cup final
Kilworthfox Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 When we got spanked away at Forest I said to my mate Adam that today was a bad day, but I thought that it would pale into insignificance because we would see them again in the playoffs, hopefully at Wembley. When we had them at home the result was brilliant as we overcame a massive mental hurdle, that we can get thoroughly humiliated and come back and beat a team who are fellow challengers for promotion. I would have taken & traded that 5 vs 1 pasting with some ease, for another East Midlands local derby win at Wembley 16 years after the Derby game, but this time obviously against Forest. We seem to have gotten into form where we can go for a stretch of 8 or so games where we are consistently performing but then have a slip up, the positive thing is that we get back on track almost straight away. Forest, Barnsley & Sheffield Wednesday aways, LCFC have played very badly but within 2 games they get back into their stride and remain undefeated until the next slip. Essentially this form is the reason for the 7 point gap with 1 game in hand. We are consistently better than the other also ran contenders below us. I can see us beating Swansea, as they don't get enough goals, they have an excellent defensive record, I just think we over 2 legs are better than them. Forest can say they are a goal better than Leicester with their 5 vs 4 agg scoreline. Well they can have that stat if it makes them feel better . Fact is my Forest mates really don't want us in the playoffs. Anyone on about Jinx, behave! My post in a nutshell... I am confident that we will make the playoffs & confident that we can win them too.
bluebeau Posted 17 March 2010 Posted 17 March 2010 On the day before a match, when I hang out my washing, I always hope that I pull out of the peg bag more blue pegs than any other colour, that's a good luck omen! Anybody lookin' for a good wife?
