Hopefully Newcastle still play their best and beat Blackpool next week. They've got a hard run in, with Forest and Newcastle still to play. Win against Peterborough away next week needed for us.

Preston should "go easy" on us to help us secure that playoff place instead of their local rivals :P

Swansea got Bristol City and Sheffield United away. Those two places are absolute horrid places to go and get results from - especially at Sheff Utd.

I have a sneaky feeling that it may be Swansea who drop out all together.

For me this looks like going down to the last day of the season. We have got a tricky away fixture next week against a team who have just been relegated and who would have just annouced a new manager. People saying that they have nothing to play for couldn't be further from the truth - the players will be playing for their professional futures plus their pride - something which all professional sportsmen have in abundance. I fear a Peterborough lash-back next week but hope that our quality can see us pick up all three points. Blackpool have what I consider to be an impossible fixture next week. Newcastle have won every home game so far this season (I believe) and will want to keep that record in tact and secure the title as soon as possible. They will quite simply have too much quality for Blackpool.

The following weekend is massive as we have a very difficult game at home to Watford who will be fighting for survival whilst Blackpool travel to Forest. Whilst Forest may not have anything to play for, the last thing that a team which is almost guaranteed a play-off place wants to start doing is losing games of football. They are on an incredible run at home at the moment and I can see both of these games ending in draws.

The penultimate games of the season see us travel to Preston and Blackpool travel to Peterborough. We always seem to struggle against Preston and I can see us losing this one whilst everything that I said about us going to Peterborough applies just the same to Peterborough - so I can see them winning at LOndon Road also.

This would see us going into the final game of the season a point ahead of Blackpool and needing a win to secure the play-off place. I think that this is something that we can achieve but I'd sleep much easier if we could take all 3 points against Watford and pick up at least a point at Preston.

Game on.

The last time I predicted an end of season result I guessed a championship cementing home win against Sheff Wed. We lost. We were relegated.

How we can be optimistic or pessimistic about any of those games is beyond me. I honestly think we'll secure enough points to get into the play-offs, but I will not even dare to guess in which games the points will come from. It would be extremely nice to have a top 6 spot in the bag before the Middlesborough game, thats the only thing I am hoping for.

I don't think there can be too many threads discussing the final run in. We do appear to be a bit light on them at the moment.

To right. The Jacks to lose against the Wurzels and Blades. Also they will draw against Barnsley and Doncaster with the other two games.

We will finish the Reading off at Cardiff this weekend as well.

Not too sure if we will see you in the play offs or at Wembley.
