white_y Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Steven Howard is not really known as a goal scorer, and I know that but whenever he wins the ball or heads it he either heads it to nobody or losses the ball.he doesn't really have the pace for the championship and if we don't sign WAGHORN I would have serious doubts about the premiership potential and we may end up like derby's embarrassing performance in the premiership.
OLD norfox Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 This is good stuff !!! Its not importent to get behind the players after yesterdays win and the not importent games ahead .
Guest Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Definitely you. Shouldn't you be ringing Radio Leicester for the phone in with these sorts of questions, they're crying out for comments like this
davieG Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Strange timing to say the least and we might just be glad of him if we don't get promoted.
Man Of Faith Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Its definitely you, Stevie Howard has had 2 good seasons with this club, considerin he isn't the fastest and most mobile anymore, he gives 100% everytime he plays and gives us other options upfront - Love the guy!!
MikeyT Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Can you not just bask in the lovliness of what was yesterday? We are in the play offs for arguably the biggest and best league in the world. Enjoy the moment. Howard may have not scored many goals this season but he like all the other players regardless of their ability have worn our shirt this season and tried their best even if you don't particularly like them.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 As has already been said, very strange timing. It's not as if we've looked ineffective on this winning streak with Howard in the side, he scored against QPR and Peterborough for crying out loud. The sending off was stupid but if anything, it shows what an adaptable side we are to be able to have Fryatt injured, Campbell out on loan and Howard suspended and still look a good attacking side as we did yesterday. I personally think Howard has something to offer in this division, and with all the hard work he's put in this and last season, he has to have earned the opportunity to have a crack at the Premiership if we get there. Unfair topic, bad timing.

Yes, I'm sure we won't look to make any signings should we go up.
Daggers Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Oh good another one for the ignored list. I'm betting he doesn't crack more than 50 posts before never being heard of again.
Guest NGoloMode Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 He was in Derby's team that got promoted by the play-offs so he can't be that bad
Bert Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 I'm with you. Can't believe he didn't score yesterday.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 What is it with some of our fans...why the need to find something negative? Enjoy the moment for the love of God! We're in the Play-Offs!!!!
Mickey O'Neil Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 The results of this poll speak for themselves. The type of football we played to get out of L1 suited us with Steve in the team. We lost most/all? games he didn't play in that season....I'm certain we did not win one single game. Our style has changed a bit this year and he's not been needed as much, but in my eyes, still deffo a squad player. Seems like he can't do right for wrong in some people's eyes. The other week, one moaning twat behind me was slagging him off saying he "couldn't understand why he was in the team". The fella next to me said "he's just scored...what else can he do!!!?" Doh
Narborough_fox Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Just a couple of words end this LEICESTER 1-0 LEEDS!

MPH Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Steve Howard has always been very comitted when playing for city.... earlier this season it did look like his legs had gone... credit it to him, tho, he has come back and put some shifts in, played well and collected a couple of goals in the process. His performances , albeit fewer than last season, will be just as important come the end of the season than the likes of Waghorn and Fryatt - every goal counts in the race for the playoffs. We signed him from the premier league a few seasons ago and he will probably be on a decent wage... will we be able to afford this luxury next season? he probably wont play any more games next season than this season if we dont get promoted and if we do im not so sure he will be able to cut it in the prem... either way both are irrelevant - lets get behind the team and i would be delighted if he got us a goal at wembley against Forest!!! Its the sort of thing that happens.... He has been a good servant to this club.

carterfox90 Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 he has been good for us but his time has now come to take his bow & will always remember him for that goal against leeds last season the walkers erupted as he buried it be nice if he came on at wembley & scored the winner like that to take us up
