Cardiff Getting Extra Tickets For Sunday

Recommended Posts

Therefore surely 2,000 are more manageable than 3,200?!

Now hearing that some city fans have been getting emails urging them to buy more tickets for Sunday, having already bought theirs.

Any ideas on how many you have sold Dr Pop?

We sold our inital 2,000 for the away game in just over a day - there were restrictions on who could buy based on number of away games attended. I think we'll sell the further 1,000 no problem.

As for the home game, tickets have only been on sale to season ticket holders up to and including today. We've got 16,000 or so of those, so there should be around 7,000 left which go on general sale from tomorrow morning. As I mentioned earlier we've got a corporate 'Premier Club' section in the upper tier of the Grandstand - about 1,800 seats I believe. This is where there will be empty seats as it costs an arm and a leg to sit there. I think everywhere else will sell out.

Mark we've sold about 650 of the additional 1000 as far as I'm aware so far. Not bad going.

3200 blooooobirds in total

why do the club always seem to get this so wrong?

1k cheap kid seats for the city faithful is surely better than chasing the £???

Because, unless the club are lying it's a segregation issue.

I don't understand how people can justify this as a good business decision? Inviting 50% more away supporters and not taking the £25k hit (the price of 2 good players for one week) could prove potentially crucial if Cardiff are able to rouse their team and cost Leicester a cheque for 10's of millions of pounds!

Amateur mistake in my opinion

2,000 Cardiff away fans would still outsing us at home

so an extra thousand wouldn't really matter

2,000 Cardiff fans will be loud, but are you saying that 1,000 extra won't make a noticable difference?

No, an extra thousand will make a difference

but having only 2,000 Cardiff fans will not make the Leicester fans louder

and that's what we should be thinking about, raisiing our voices to outsing them

not worried that they are bringing an extra thousand

This is bullshit. Why do we always get these things so wrong?

We're giving Cardiff an easy ride here. Do you think they'll do the same for us next week? Under Hammam they'd do stuff like making sure there was no hot water in the away changing room and cutting the power, pre match.

We're a soft touch.

Under Peter Ridsdale we've not paid the electricity bill so the water will still be cold and the changing rooms dark!

lol

To be honest, I think the part played by the crowd is probably overstated anyway.

Yes we'll be a bit louder with another 1,000 fans at the Walkers, but its both sets of players and managers that will really influence who wins and loses.

Agreed, eating into the 25k income already is an increased police bill for the increase in visitors.

It wont matter, they'll still outsing us.

Your a disabled anyway, you reckon everyone will outsing us. I really don't get why you even support Leicester. You just slate us all the time. The fans are never good enough for you. Yet you bang on about how great americans soccer fans are.

I think we'll be louder on saturday by a mile.

Totally agree with the above statement, think people on here should STOP moaning about how crap we are at the Walkers and START singing and getting behind the team.

Just incase you don't realise we have a MASSIVE game on Sunday and everyone of us should sing our hearts out, I can tell you now it does make a difference, YOU can make a difference to the result.................. FACT......................... sing, sing, SING................

COME ON THE BLUE ARMY......................................DO YOUR BIT.............................................

Drink 10 pints of STELLA if your shy.....................................SING..............................

COME ON......................................................

Not moaning, but after we'd heard that this was a segregation / policing issue, I got this from the club in response to a complaint I sent them yesterday...

Thank you for letting us know your feelings about the play-off ticket allocation. I can assure you that we have done everything in our power to try and secure as large an away ticket allocation as possible to satisfy the requirements of our large travelling support. The competition rules for play-offs are different from league games in that the home club has to offer only a 10% of the total stadium capacity or 2,000 tickets - whichever is the lower figure. This meant that 2,000 tickets was the lower for both parties. With the 1st leg looking like it might not be a sell-out, the club has taken the commercial decision to offer Cardiff an additional 1,000 tickets, taking the figure up to the standard league game allocation of 3,200. This isn't however something that Cardiff feel they need to offer Leicester City.

So it was a commercial decision, based on the "wonderful blue army" not selling out the Walkers quickly enough. Great.

Everyone does outsing us. get a proper 'kop' sorted or we'll look like twats forever.

Finally the truth comes out. I didn't buy the whole security concerns/segregation argument, it was obviously just a poor excuse for our disappointing sales figures.

Our fans are so disappointing - this is our biggest game in years and yet we're unlikely to sell out. Where are all the fans that turned up last week to watch a meaningless fixture? No doubt they'll be back out in force if we get to Wembley pretending that they've supported us all along.

Posted

Well City should just give priority for Wembley to those that went to the playoffs!

The "3 last ticket stubs" seems like nonsense because there was about 10k tickets left when general sales started!
