Guest Bilo Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 The second leg is going to be nervy as fook with all the pressure on Forest now to turn it around. Not sure they have the nerve to do it to be honest, especially with all the momentum and form with Holloway's side. Not to mention the fact that Blackpool have done the double over them already. I'm not writing Forest off but everything is on Blackpool's side after that result.
MikeyT Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 Thanks for that. Loving the old PES commentator No probs mate
C-man Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 Dunno about anyone else but I was nervous watching that. I'm gonna be in a right two and eight tomorrow afternoon. Anyway well done to Blackpool, hope we get to face them at Wembley.

Anyway well done to Blackpool, hope we get to face them at Wembley. I'm already bricking it about tomorrow, should be a decent atmosphere though. As for meeting Blackpool at Wembley, it looks well within the realms of possibility that they'll get there, now we have to do our bit.
Joe. Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 Pleased for Blackpool today, I think a win was vital at Bloomfield Road if they're to stand any chance of going through. Still think Forest will produce the goods at the City Ground, although I certainly won't be shedding any tears if they don't and Blackpool make it all the way to the final.
RedHux Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Well, that was a load of tripe. Cohens goal aside it was exactly like a load of other away days.Don't play especially well yet still make a couple of decent chances that are shinned/headed/fluffed away etc.. It was a er.....interesting performance from the ref. I suspect we'll not get a result at home because history teaches us Forest can always find exciting and elaborate ways to feck it up. I'm going for us streaking into a 2-0 lead, pegged back to 2-1 at half time, then 2-2 then 3 and quickly 4 -2 as we press forward.

I thought you were the better side first half and were unlucky not to be 2-0 up.
RedHux Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Yea, but for all our pacey breaks and close chances we were only living off scraps and never really got the ball down enough to start controlling things. It was inevitable they would eventually start to get on top. I was a bit disappointed with our long ball second half tactics too. Hopeful but not confident for Tuesday.
Jordan Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 I know we've been blessed with a great season with Leicester and we've almost been patronizing to them about our expectations for our finish this year and our satisfaction with this season no matter what happens in the playoffs. However, for Leicester--and not only them, but certainly the other three teams in the Championship playoffs, too--this year offers such a huge opportunity. The Championship will lose Newcastle and West Brom to the Prem + the playoff winner in exchange for Hull, Burnley and Portsmouth. I'm pretty sure both Hull and Burnley will be able to cope with relegation, but Portsmouth is a financial basket case so I've got no idea how they'll look next season. On the other side, the Championship will replace Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth and Peterborough with Norwich, Leeds and possibly Charlton. Even if that's not a much stronger influx of teams (I think it is), it certainly makes the Championship a much deeper division. Not only that, but does anybody expect Reading and Ipswich to get off to terrible starts again next season? Is next year the season where QPR decide to spend a little cash? Will Sheffield United get back into the mix? Then throw inthe three teams that lose in the playoffs, and suddenly finishing in the top six next year seems to be a more difficult task next season. I think Forest, Cardiff and Leicester could be a few shrewd signings from being able to keep up with the likes of Wolves, Wigan, Bolton etc. But in Leicester's case, I don't think Milan Mandaric will have much pocket change to give to Nigel Pearson thus summer if City can't turn around the first leg deficit and then find a way to win at Wembley. There will be loanees that need to be replaced, potential transfer bids for Fryatt and Hobbs, local derbies that will be difficult games no matter where Derby, Coventry and perhaps Forest are in the table relative to Leicester... It might be a bit of a shame and unfortunate irony that the best chance Leicester may have to win promotion to the Premier League might be in a season where simply re-establishing themselves in the Championship was the team's most realistic goal. Cardiff (with a likely cash injection coming to stave off the taxman) and Forest (who seem to be back on their feet) might be able to handle another season in the Championship a little better than Leicester, and Blackpool, well, hate to see Ollie having success but they've done so well this season.
Matt Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Think i'm going to do a U turn on the result I wanted on Saturday and say C'mon Forest. IF we managed to win tomorrow and reached the final i'd prefer Blackpool in the final, but with Forest a goal down, I'd like them to show us it is possible to come from a goal deficit and get to the final, I know they are at home tonight and we are away and I know i'm clutching at straws - If they win doesn't mean we'll win but I just for some strange reason feel if they win it could fire us up, give us confidence it can be done and would add to the point that already needs proving.
Matt Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Forest 1 (2) - (2) 0 Blackpool THAT is exactly what we have to do tomorrow, Early goal tomorrow night please Leicester
Legend_in_blue Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 We need to do exactly what F****t have just done and score within 7 minutes of the start.
Edmund Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 I'd still rather Blackpool went through. We don't need to be shown how to battle for a win. Just play them a dvd of us in play offs of yesteryear. 1-0 Forest already though.
SirBlueFoxington Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Forest 1 (2) - (2) 0 Blackpool THAT is exactly what we have to do tomorrow, Early goal tomorrow night please Leicester Was thinking the exact same thing. If we could do what Forest have done it will be brilliant. Good finish by Earnshaw.
ScouseFox Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 This could end up with a thrashing for Blackpool if they're not careful. Forest look in the mood. Still a long way to go though.
Legend_in_blue Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 We have to go out all guns blazing tomorrow and play 180 minutes of football in 90 since we didn't show up on Sunday. An early goal within 10 and Sunday is all but forgotten.
SirBlueFoxington Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Great challenge from Baptiste, making up for the mistake.
Edmund Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Why is the away fans area behind the goal not in use? It seems to be covered in red. Are Forest worried that if it goes to penalties they don't want their fans goading Camp?
