Guest ttfn Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Early! Middlesbrough Cardiff ----------------------- Reading Leicester Ipswich Swansea --------------------- Bristol City Leeds Forest QPR Norwich Burnley Sheff U Hull Derby Coventry Doncaster Preston Barnsley Watford Palace ------------------------ Portsmouth Milll/Swindon S****horpe Reading are a total wildcard next season. Obviously if they start next season as they finished this then they'll take some beating. But we took 30 points from16 games at the end of 2005/6 to finish mid-table. By the end of the next season, Kelly was sacked and City just avoided relegation. Middlesbrough have too much quality to be shit again. That 16 year old lad that played against us was excellent and he'll surely improve. Then again, I tipped them for the title this season! City to go up through the Play-offs, obviously. Other prediction (assuming they get a whole season at this level) - Fryatt or Maynard to be division top scorer.
Joe. Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Might as well just start the 11/12 one while you're at it. Go on, you know you want to*. *please don't.
shen Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 I think we'll struggle to qualify for the playoffs again next season
FoxyPV Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Leicester Leicester ------------ Everyone else --------- Forest Coventry Cardiff
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Forest Sheff Utd -------------------------- Boro Leicester Norwich Ipswich ----------------------- --------------- Play Off Winner Barnsley Sc*nthorpe
Finchy Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Definitely can't think who's gonna get automatic, seems like it's gonna be very open season. My predictions for the teams who will be in the mix at the top tho City Cardiff Bristol Boro Forest Reading Norwich Leeds Relegation It really is Covs turn now surely? League 1 Play off winner Barnsley
Salieri Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 How can anyone make any serious predictions for next season until we see which players are gonna be signed/sold? Weird.
Ozwin Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 If we keep Pearson as well as Hobbs, King, Wellens and Fryatt (basically the spine of the team) then I'll be optimitic for next season. It's gonna be a long, horrible pre season.
Ultra Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 What's with the inferiority complex? Forest haven't won an away game in FOUR MONTHS. That's not title/promotion form in any league.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 I've just had a go and it's stupid. There are WAY too many if's and but's that can happen between now and the start of the season to make any sort of a decent guess.
Peter File Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 The fact that we don't even know all of the teams who'll be in the division says it all
Guest Bilo Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 I have a feeling that the best opportunity for promotion for both Forest and Cardiff was this season, and it's passed them by. Therefore: Middlesbrough Leicester -------------------- Reading Ipswich Burnley Swansea ------------------- Sheffield United Doncaster QPR Forest Norwich Bristol City Cardiff Preston Leeds Derby Crystal Palace Hull Coventry Portsmouth Watford ---------------- Swindon/Millwall Barnsley Scunny
C-man Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Boro Ipswich -------------------------- Cardiff Forest Leicester Reading -------------------------- Sheffield United Leeds Norwich Portsmouth Hull Derby Bristol City QPR Burnley Coventry Swansea Watford Palace Millwall/Preston Preston/Barnsley -------------------------- Barnsley/Doncaster Doncaster/Scuunthorpe Scunthorpe/Swindon Bit of blind optimism there. Originally had us down in 9th/10th but it's anyone's game and a semi-final vs Forest would be tasty.
Fosse Boy Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 ?????????? ?????????? -------------------------- ?????????? ?????????? ?????????? ?????????? ------------------------ ?????????? --------------- ?????????? ?????????? ?????????? That is about as close as you'll get to predicting how the table will end up before at least February 2011.
StanSP Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Very unlikely that Cardiff will be around promotion places. Their financial troubles will get the better of them which is why this season was a 'do or die' scenario.
????? Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Very unlikely that Cardiff will be around promotion places. Their financial troubles will get the better of them which is why this season was a 'do or die' scenario. i agre because the new owners could possibly walk away now there not getting promotion. so possibly start with -10 or-20
Fox92 Posted 25 May 2010 Posted 25 May 2010 How can you make a prediction for next year when you don't know if Millwall\Swindon will be in the division and we also don't know who signs who. However, I do think the league will be very hard next season. At a later date, I'll predict, but at the minute, I think that a number of sides will be looking for a play off spot/promotion - Leeds, Norwich, Barnsley, Nottingham Forest, Bristol City, QPR, Middlesbrough, Cardiff, Sheffield United, Millwall/Swindon and maybe even Leicester! I'll predict at a later date though like usual
maddog Posted 25 May 2010 Posted 25 May 2010 Middlesbrough are shit, they won't be in the top 8. Leeds will finish in the bottom half. Reading won't be in the top 6. Pompey will make the playoffs. Burnley will finish 2nd. Hull will be mid-table. We will finish 7th.
Ozwin Posted 25 May 2010 Posted 25 May 2010 We will finish 7th. Until we win the first game of the season and you get over-excited like you always do and decide we're going to win the league.
Salieri Posted 25 May 2010 Posted 25 May 2010 I think after a few false dawns, it could be Q.P.R's season this year.
Number 6 Posted 25 May 2010 Posted 25 May 2010 Why do so many people (including the bookies) rate Boro so highly? I really don't get it.
Guest NGoloMode Posted 25 May 2010 Posted 25 May 2010 Why do so many people (including the bookies) rate Boro so highly? I really don't get it. They have a lot of money and have a very good manager.
Number 6 Posted 25 May 2010 Posted 25 May 2010 Is he good though? At Boro this season: P33 W9 D11 L13 Win% of 27.27 I know he has a summer to build his own team and that they lost Johnson, but Boro were third when he took over.
