Mack Posted 18 June 2010 Posted 18 June 2010 Germany were over-hyped for me after beating a 10 man Australia who made the mistake of being too negative. They are always very well organized but there are better teams in this tournament including us.

MC Prussian Posted 18 June 2010 Posted 18 June 2010 I'm usually not the biggest fan of the German national team, but with this team it's a bit different. I fancied them to get far in this tournament, their team usually gels well during competitions like this one and it's the collective spirit that has lifted them on so many other occasions. They've got a lot of scoring threat up front and a solid central defensive duo in Mertesacker and Friedrich. However, the lack of a midfield maestro shows and they're extremely vulnerable on the flanks. Both Lahm and Badstuber don't fill me with a lot of confidence, the former now already booked in this match. Wonder what Jogi Loew will do now to keep the damage minimal. It could end in a draw or in a spanking for my northern neighbours which are only a few miles away from where I live. Oh, and on a sidenote I have to state that both the German and Serbian kit are adorable.
Northants Fox 3 Posted 18 June 2010 Posted 18 June 2010 Klose was a bit of a tw@t going for the tackle from behind 1 minute after getting booked, but the Spanish referee is spoiling the game flashing yellows the way he has been, and in the last few minutes of the half he gives a free kick for the overhead kick by the German Striker, the message that gives is that you can't make contact now, that in my opinion is just plain crazy.
