Salieri Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Thracian He's probably putting the finishing touches to his C.V as we speak.

Tilley Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 No to Dowie, Southgate, Coleman, Robson, Gregory and Walsh. Curbishley or Mowbray.
Salieri Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 No to Dowie, Southgate, Coleman, Robson, Gregory and Walsh. Curbishley or Mowbray. I don't like all this talk about potential new mangers, especially when nothing has been confirmed. BUT, Curbishley would be the best of a bad bunch for me.

Ozwin Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Mowabray plays nice football and knows this league. I'd take him. Obviously the best situation would be to keep Pearson though.
Joe. Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Mowabray plays nice football and knows this league. I'd take him. Obviously the best situation would be to keep Pearson though. But he did it with money. Curbishley was my immediate thought when I got told this earlier, but I'm sure there are other decent candidates out there.
Salieri Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 The worry for me is that to attract a decent calibre of manager we would need to offer assurances that at least some funds would be available. I firmly believe that the reason NP hasn't signed a contract is because these assurances have not been given. If that is the case, why would MM be willing or able to offer a potential new manager the promise of money to spend. I really hope Nige stays and the rumour is a load of bollocks, but if it isn't i'm more than concerned about who may take over the mantle. Curbs, for me, would be a sound appointment, but would he be interested without any money being available for transfers?
Webbo Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Curbs, for me, would be a sound appointment, but would he be interested without any money being available for transfers? Seeing as he's out of work I'd guess he'd only be interested if there was money available for his wages.
Salieri Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Seeing as he's out of work I'd guess he'd only be interested if there was money available for his wages. He's been out of work for a while despite his reputation. I find it surprising he hasn't been snapped up yet, but maybe he is waiting for the 'right' job. After all, i wouldn't think he's particularly hard up. Didn't he get a wedge of compensation from West Ham? Plus he earns money as a pundit.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Mad Dog back to finish what he started!!! Or Paul Ince who has failed in his last 2 jobs.
Rocky Dennis Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 What an exciting prospect for any manager, a club so in debt Hull City seemed more attractive?? We'll have the cream of the crop after this job..
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Billy Davies - but then there are some on here that would take him I'm sure
CosbehFox Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Keith Hill - Rochdale Manager. Possess the eye for a player but any appointment of this ilk would never be given the time to succeed under Mandaric.
The Doctor Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Billy Davies - but then there are some on here that would take him I'm sure if we ignore his background for a moment then it would be a sensible appointment. He's had success in this league before. But as a former derby now forest manager i'd rather look elsewhere. Not that he'd leave the florists at the moment though.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 DJ Campbell Ally Campbell Alistair Campbell (see other thread!)
