Fox You Forest Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Do people not think we've had enough of this crap over the last week or so? Just ignore it.
Flynny Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 A rather bitter sounding post there to be honest, laden with opinions rather than solid fact. The fact is that Swansea improved their league position after Martinez left the club and took Gomez and Scotland with him, not to mention much of the backroom staff. Sousa has to take part of the credit for this in my view. They may have been short on goals but with such limited options up front, it seems unfair to point the finger wholly at Sousa. We have a defence that is equally strong and with Tunchev returning, comfortable on the ball. The same can be said about the midfield with the excellent Andy King ready to grow and learn from a midfielder who won two Champions League medals and Richie Wellens can shine as he did for Doncaster in a side playing attractive football. Gallagher and Fryatt will benefit from this new culture as well, as anyone who has seen the two players perform when we're playing the ball into feet will testify. All in all, I'd expect us to be tight at the back as Swansea were under Sousa but adding the goals that cost the Welsh side so dearly in their promotion battle due to our better options going forward. I'm optimistic about this appointment and think it's pretty much the best outcome we could have had. The links with Dowie and Rodgers frankly didn't bear thinking about. Backing this all the way. Swansea fans moaning after that season after they'd lost Martinez!?
DanTheFox07 Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 It'll be a miracle if you do well with Dowie or Coleman as your manager! Keep a copy of this posting and see how long it takes till it all comes true. Haha Classic! Love ur work, nicely done.
DanTheFox07 Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Does sound like sour Grapes how can they be disappointed on just missing out in the play-off`s? Gonna love him wearing a grey suit with leicester badge on it hopefully !

Legend_in_blue Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Hopefully we'll get some decent foreign players in under Sousa. Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol... In all seriousness, this is a good move. Hopefully we'll add some much needed attacking flair and go a little bit more offensive next season. Then we won't fall short. Two or three decent attacking additions and we're sorted.
CosbehFox Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Backing this all the way. Swansea fans moaning after that season after they'd lost Martinez!? Just what I was thinking one goal from the playoffs compared to Martinez whose lack of defensive steel was naive in the extreme. My only concern is that we need a good scouting appointment cos he seems clueless in that department.

DanTheFox07 Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 I need a grey suit now. Nice Hugo Boss number For Sousa no doubt, for us will be a trip to primark or marks and sparks ! oh and the wigs dont forget, awesome!
Guest Mee-9 Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Haha Classic! Love ur work, nicely done. Obrigado!! (That's Portugese for Thank you) Just thought I'd get in the swing of it
CosbehFox Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 No worries, we've got MM aka Head Scout. Exactly my worry.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Oh Paulo! Woaaah! Oh Paulo! Woaaaaaah! He comes from Portugal, It's much nicer than Hull!
SirBlueFoxington Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Just because Sousa played defensive tactics at Swansea and his team scored very few goals last season doesn't mean he will go out and do the exact same thing here. Also Swansea finished just outside of the play-offs last season, and were very good side though-out. If he can match what he did at Swansea and just go that bit better here i would be over the moon, and wouldn't care if we went out and won games 1-0. A win is a win, no matter how it comes!

Give it a few day`s and im sure mandaric will be up his usual tricks trying to get us more publicity, well be chasing Raul !
Legend_in_blue Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Does Luis Figo still play? Maybe our Head Scout MM is trying to get him in.

Cup game either
Guest Mee-9 Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Does Luis Figo still play? Maybe our Head Scout MM is trying to get him in. Imagine that?!

Cup game either Out of all the other 'managers' he's the one I'd have picked. The Dowie's/Coleman's can fook off from coming anywhere near my club! Sousa's Blue Army - too soon???
C-man Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Bit concerned about the apparent lack of knowledge and wherewithal of the English game, but I'm confident that we can look forward to a nice (winning) brand of football this season. Decent appointment considering the options, but I've always considered him a moody bastard when things go wrong... Come on Paulo!

Decent appointment considering the options, but I've always considered him a moody bastard when things go wrong... Come on Paulo! For an inexperienced manager who spent non of his playing career here he's done ok in his year and half of management. Sure he'll only get better the more he picks up about football in this country.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 As you will by now be aware, Paulo Sousa has left Swansea City. I wish you luck with your new manager, because it is a miracle that he was with us for so long. The man is arogant, big headed and has no contacts in the British or European game (although he will name drop like mad). He never speaks to the press, so dont expect any info to come out from your club in future. If you can find out what his assistant Bruno does, good luck, because no one could whilst he was with Swansea. You can expect very defensive football next season and few goals. Thank you for taking him away from us, as it saved us having to sack him and pay him off. Good luck for the coming season, you will be neading it. Keep a copy of this posting and see how long it takes till it all comes true. awwww spit the dummy out because your manager has left and joined a bigger and better club. Paulo Saousa didnt go out there and play the football every week, your squad is shit so he had no other choice to play defensive football, i would have done the same to be honest with shefki kuqi upfront hahahahahaha

Sure he'll only get better the more he picks up about football in this country. Yeah, that's fair. Doesn't stop me from being concerned though. I hope he brings some experience with him and Powell can help him out when needed. Oh and I hope he still tries to buy British and brings players through the youth team. I don't want to see crap like Pintado ahead of Chamberlain next season.
Ozwin Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 He better try and get Waghorn back here on loan instead of useless piss like Kuqi and Beattie.
MattyFromLE Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 I doubt he'd go for Waghorn he'll want his own players i bet. Although, hopefully Powells input will be to suggest the few players Pearson had his eyes on
Guest Mee-9 Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 He better try and get Waghorn back here on loan instead of useless piss like Kuqi and Beattie. I'd say our only route into that, Is Chrissy P. He ain't clueless, he knows what the fans would like in terms of a signing
