Malinki Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 @darko2k7 Spent much time in Preston? You wouldn't be far wrong.... (alledgedly)
okie fox Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 How do you know there isn't a better keeper out there, have you scouted them all? Just my opinion on Weale but I'm picky with goalies, I remember Shilton, Wallington, Flowers & Keller I remember Banks, greatest goalkeeper in the world, but that's irrelevant. Weale is a lot better than what we have had recently..
Guest Bilo Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Solid defender and may turn out to be a good signing for Preston but he was never likely to fit into the new regime. Brown is a no bullshit defender who will win everything in the air but become an integral part of a squad playing the type of football Sousa will demand? No chance. All the best at Preston because at times he was excellent for us, but his time had probably passed here.
PAULCFC Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 decent stopper,distribution lacking.......cheers wayne.

If you think your getting slick Portugese football, You might be wrong. Spoken to a few Swansea fans on a different forum, and many have said it's Route 1 for 90 minutes.
Bert Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 He's not left due to not fitting into the new regime. The new regime aren't even here yet, so how they'll have instilled what they want from the players, with them not even being back in training yet is beyond me. He's left the club because of his recent actions, and that is that. Fantastic defender, shit at passing.

The fact that we hadn't heard about it for ages made me think it had been dealt with, but obviously he's paid the price.
markbsac Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 cheers wayne.....coatsworth did a similar job all boot and no skill ...but sometimes thats what ya need in a solid centre half.......racist cos ya vote bnp.....so some people think ..wake up and read the manifesto !
Bugg Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 racist cos ya vote bnp.....so some people think ..wake up and read the manifesto ! How about don't believe everything wrote in the manifesto, the leader is someone who has openly denied the holocaust. And people mostly join the BNP to "get rid of the foreigners" even though most British people can't be arsed to do the jobs that the foreign people have "nicked"

Racist cos he mouthed off to his team mates about foreigners taking British jobs - team mates including Bruno Berner, Tunchev, Kermogant, Dany N'Guessan, etc., etc., - and with Chris Powell as the senior pro on the training ground, who has been an outstanding representative for professional footballers of all colours and races. Who he votes for is his own business, but by discussing his choice in those terms at his workplace, Brown demonstrated himself not just a racist, but an idiot to boot. If he thinks 'English football' would be better without foreign players (or foreign born managers, owners and fans) then I'm glad to have seen the back of him at LCFC. As a player I valued his 100% attitude but towards the end his finger pointing and antagonism with some of those around him was beginning to be a drain on the team spirit. Frankly, I think he could see the end coming, and wasn't overly optimistic about a choice of new career opportunities. The bitterness was starting to show in the games, and it is probably best for us that he's moved on now, even before he burned all his bridges with that training ground row.

Hang on, have you read something I haven't? I thought there was no solid confirmation that it had happened from any party involved, let alone the specifics of "he mouthed off to his team mates about foreigners taking British jobs".
poopbutt Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 There are better goalies around than Weale. He started well but flapped towards the end of the season. I want a top goalie not an adequate one and he was no more than that over the season. Dyer wasn't bad but I think this is his limit so he should be improved upon. stop talking shite
Tom_LCFC_1990 Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Hold on a minute didnt Brown have a loan spell at Preston in 2008?
Mack Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 For me Brown was all effort with little ability to back it up. He got minced more than once by average strikers and couldn't pass water. Adios
hackneyfox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 stop talking shite How grown up. Did you rate Henderson as well?

Corky Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Flap not flop. How do you know there isn't a better keeper out there, have you scouted them all? Just my opinion on Weale but I'm picky with goalies, I remember Shilton, Wallington, Flowers & Keller But the everyone on this board thought the previous flapper was good as he saved a couple of penalties. Neither of them were/are generally rated too highly on Bentleys. I remember Flowers and Keller, who were very good keepers, but that doesn't mean Weale is a bad keeper or not good enough for the team. He's fine, on the whole, and should be the same next season.
hackneyfox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 'He's fine on the whole' is not what I want to hear about a goalkeeper (unless he plays for the opposition). Someone on Bentleys just summed him up as 'average at best' What is the Swansea goalie like?
Shrenchel Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Weale's a good keeper. He's not perfect but we've got shit all money and there's at least 6 positions which need strengthening more urgently. Fvck knows why you'd even waste your time talking about this.
hackneyfox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Because you build from the back and I want a good goalie behind Hobbs & Tunchev.
hackneyfox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 That proves nothing, the co* goalkeeper isn't in there and most people seem to have him marked as the best goalie in the division.
Edmund Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Someone on Bentleys just summed him up as 'average at best' That is all. You and your fucking Bentleys Hackney talking out of his arse once again. Actim index says it all
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 That proves nothing, the co* goalkeeper isn't in there and most people seem to have him marked as the best goalie in the division. "Most people" is a pretty bold statement.
