Callabinho Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 how do you know he was a racist .it was just rumours and gossip It was more than gossip and rumours ! and I am glad he's gone !
hackneyfox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 You and your fucking Bentleys Hackney talking out of his arse once again. Actim index says it all  Once again??? Are people not allowed an opinion of their own on this board or do you all bow to peer pressure?
hackneyfox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 "Most people" is a pretty bold statement. Well as not one Premier team has sniffed around Weale recently and let's be honest we'd let him go for a million like a shot, and co* are putting off buyers by asking for 4 million for Westwood I'd hazard a guess that he is much higher rated than Weale. He's had one good season which tapered off towards the end. Where did we buy him from? Was he even in their first team? How old is he? I haven't said he's a bad goalie but he can be improved on. As I said earlier everyone on this site was creaming themselves over Henderson when he stopped a couple of penalties. I got stick then for calling him a flapper. Where is he now? We improved on him, so we can with Weale.
James. Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 You honestly think our limited resources should be directed at replacing one of our best players of last season?
Alexikokopops Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Where did we buy him from? Was he even in their first team? How old is he? I'm not sure about this logic. Tim Flowers was bought from Blackburn (a team that had been relegated that season), wasn't in their first team (playing just 15 games) and was 32 when we bought him. Compare that to Weale, who came from Bristol City (in the league we were heading to), wasn't in their first team, and was 27 when we bought him. I'm not saying your opinion is wrong, just that you're using odd logic when explaining it to people.
MC Prussian Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Well as not one Premier team has sniffed around Weale recently and let's be honest we'd let him go for a million like a shot, and co* are putting off buyers by asking for 4 million for Westwood I'd hazard a guess that he is much higher rated than Weale. We improved on him, so we can with Weale. How do you know there's been no interest in Weale by other clubs recently? For a guy who used to play for Yeovil and Bristol, Weale's been outstanding, reassuring and a calm presence between the posts last season. He dared to step up one level (at least) and succeeded. The only blunder I can think of that he was (partially) responsible for was that hideous own goal away at Derby.
hackneyfox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 I said I wouldn't be upset he goes. I'm not saying he should, but it is a position that could be strengthened. We had the same disagreements 2 seasons ago over Henderson & Kisnorbo but apparently as we had the tightest defence, despite being relegated, they were fantastic. Who actually thinks we're worse off without them? Did Kisnorbo have a great season in Division 3 last season? And remember according to many he was going to be snapped up by Everton amongst others. Is Henderson plating Premier football? We don't know what our resources are yet. If Campbell leaves for a fee and Oakley, Solano & Howard leave, along with Clemence retiring a lot of wages will be freed up. It would all depend upon availablity, age, prospects and cost. Obviously
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 How about don't believe everything wrote in the manifesto, the leader is someone who has openly denied the holocaust. And people mostly join the BNP to "get rid of the foreigners" even though most British people can't be arsed to do the jobs that the foreign people have "nicked" Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I have friends are ethnic, and reside here, and even they see a problem with foreigners filling up the country. Are they racist too then? I don't think so !
marbelladave Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Once again??? Are people not allowed an opinion of their own on this board or do you all bow to peer pressure? I'll offer a degree of support... Make you arguments clearly and resist the temptation to exaggerate or get into debates of the 'he's shit' / 'No he's not' standard and let the 'mob' take a hike. You will not be the first person to see things differently! Personally I think Weale has been decent rather than great, he has played behind one of the best defenses in the division and has mostly done pretty well, particularly in contrast to what we have had recently. On the other hand I pointed out quite early in the season that he was not sufficiently commanding in his area, that his distribution was often poor and that he had the disconcerting habit of getting beaten from distance. None of these issues were, to me, catastrophic for a keeper at our level. In the final month or two he did look agitated and uncertain on occasions and looked to wilt a little but as this coincided with our appalling run of losses it would be unfair to single out Weale. Back on topic... I am pleased that Brown has gone, I do not know the truth of the 'incident' but I am happy to see him go on purely footballing grounds. Could not fault his physical commitment, but I thought him a liability in almost every other aspect of the game. We will need another central defender though, two if Tunch fails to make it!
hackneyfox Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 And as I said earlier, commanding the box is, for me, one of the most important things a goalie MUST do. When we had goalies who did that then the likes of Walsh, Taggart & Elliott were much further up the pitch.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Ian Stringer Twitter Wayne Brown has left Leicester City football club by mutual consent and will probably join Preston North End.
Tuna Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 I liked him, steady as a rock but the BNP issue meant he had no future.
Mack Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 You honestly think our limited resources should be directed at replacing one of our best players of last season? Absolutely spot on, what is all this bollocks about Weale? He is just fine and we have far more pressing team issues that need addressing that a solid goalkeeper who apart from a moment of madness was pretty much spot on all season. We need a left back... now THERE is a real problem.
Fox You Forest Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 We need a left back... now THERE is a real problem. We've signed one and Berner??
Liamlcfc1 Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Being mixed race i say servers him right dont get me wrong he wasnt a bad player but polotics should be kept out off football and with Leicester having all types of people in the city i dont think he would have been well liked after it came out he was a BNP supporter .
Foxes1 Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 Brown was the best passer of the ball at the club last season its just that none of the other players at the club could read where he was going to put the ball
Bettsj2 Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 I like the fact that he's gone. Hobbs and Morrison are a much better partnership and had they played in the centre together last season after Tunch was injured we would have had to have brought in an ACTUAL right back and not stuck Nobby there. Bye Wayne. I hope you're as cultured for your future club as you were for us.
Mack Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 We've signed one and Berner?? Berner so far has been stop start with injury problems, and personally I dont want another Ryan Mcgivern scenario. We also need to bolster at centre back, and need at least one addition up front along with a right sided midfielder. Goalkeeper is not a priority.

Yes, Brown burnt his bridges at Leicester after revealing his politics, it was not tenable for him to stay.
The Padster Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 He's not officially gone yet - has he? It was on the official site about an hour ago but has dissapeared now !
Fox You Forest Posted 6 July 2010 Posted 6 July 2010 We also need to bolster at centre back, and need at least one addition up front along with a right sided midfielder. Goalkeeper is not a priority. I agree with what you're saying above and especially the nonsense about Weale but left back is well down the list if it should even be on the list, impossible to say without seeing Kennedy play but I highly doubt we need another left back, a right back on the other hand...
