back in the championship......here we go again. started by beating newly promoted colchester 5-0. lost andy king to rangers for 6.5 million. i didnt want him to go but the chairman (whose name ive read but i still cant spell or pronounce) took it into his own hands. zoltan gera looks like he could do well for me in the championship. he sure tried his best in the 2nd half of the premier league. lost my assistant manager and my new one seems to not have a bloody clue what he is doing! would mutually terminate him but dont wanna mess up the squad harmony and spend 1-2 months doing press conferences. i hate them.

I went up and signed Neymar in my 1st season in the Prem. Don't ask me how but sometimes its the case of if you don't try you don't get!

According to my scout he'd cost me £25mil, he is interested in joining but how do you even get such money? I couldn't risk being a one man team personally.

pay on the never never. Make an offer with a derisory up-front fee with loads added on in monthly installments & various bonuses.

I managed to sign Sergio Busquets on a pre-contract on my Leicester save once by constantly tapping him up for 3 months (saying i'd "do my utmost to sign" him every day)

If you do this long enough, players get unsettled and will discuss contracts with you.

I did virtually what LargeAl said. I offered nothing up front and £25mil over 48 months. It'll then only take a minor slice of your transfer budget away

If you surround the thorough-bred horse with crap, it's gonna smell like crap. It is however still a horse.

There's no way a player with his ability can not perform. One tactic I had in mind was 4-6-0, playing 4 at the back, a defensive mid, a flat midfield four and then someone like Neymar in attacking midfield, fair enough he'd have to spearhead virtually everything but everyone I've spoke to who's signed him (except you) says he just gets the ball, walks past everyone and hammers it in, time and time again.

Just looked at some stats in my Vauxhall game. The club is 142nd (a whopping 60k a year) out of 160 in England when ranked by turnover (!)... astonishing!

Started with Leicester last night hoping to replicate my FA Cup first season winners from my old laptop.

Brought in the obvious Smithies, Cairney, Clyne, Mouche and Toloi. Also snagged a couple of Real Madrid kids in Joselu and Alex and Ajax's Daley Blind on loan. Will need to strengthen the wingers in January, through the sale of Ricardo, Waghorn, Lamey, Moreno, Vassell and Dyer depending on need/funds/quality of players brought in. Hoping to get John Fleck on loan again.

Not the best of starts, 6th after 5 games. Mouche is banging them in as expected alongside the Yak. The sooner he learns to beat the offside trap the better. Not that anyone ever listens to me about that, except Febian Brandy.

Smithies

Naughton - Toloi - Bamba - Clyne

Cairney - King

- Gallacher - - - - Dyer -

Mouche - Yak

Subs:

Ricardo

Hobbs

Blind

Abe

Wellens

Vassell

Joselu

Don't have to be a dick about it do you

But you clearly are too good if your story holds up, I'm just confirming what you say

who is the worst?

Bottom five now (from best to worst ranked) are Hastings Utd, Solihull Moors, Thurrock, Altrincham and Stafford

stafford usually do alright on my game. they took chelsea to a replay in the 4th round of the FA cup and were leading or drawing for 88 minutes. i think they lost 3-2.

just shows how different games react doesnt it.

My Woking game in Jan 2012 is starting to come together now as expected once the new look 11 have gelled and hit a bit of a run (simmed first season and more or less got in a new squad in the 2011 window). Beating most teams 3-0 4-1 etc at the minute, on something like a 9 games unbeaten run and provided the form continues I should be there or there abouts for auto by the end of the season. Adrian Forbes can tear defences apart in the BSS! Bags of experience and technically good. Also got Vincent Kompany's brother Francois on the opposite wing, confident about my chances.

Gone back to my Plymouth/ Scotland game. Sitting pretty at the top of League 1 after 6 games and through to the 2nd round of the JPT. Got a few decent free signings in the summer and Spurs gave me Obika on loan who is tearing the division apart, few decent youngsters coming through which is helpful as I have no money at all.

Indeed. Although I've noticed something I've never seen before. Eastleigh have done almost exactly the same as me (promotion every year) bar once. Their reputation is sky-high! When I looked to arrange pre-season friendlies, they were right up there with Premier League clubs despite being newly promoted to League Two  They attracted unreal players too for that league... very odd

Just got through to the semi finals of the CL, lost 1-0 at hoem in the first leg and then beat Juve away 2-1, going through on away goals.

Got the league sewn up, after at least another cup though.

Can anyone recommend a fun team to start as, preferably in England, challenging but not ridiculously hard? A little bored of my Leicester game now.

Well after staying up with ease (won 3 of my last 4) I've took a risk and told my board I'll get them top half, they gave me £27.5mil and £425k a week, my current wage was £275k.

A few loans returned and a few players wanted to leave, so first of all I sold all my wanting out players, Jonny Howson joined Blackpool for £1.9mil, Pilkington joined Bolton for £2mil, Sol Bamba joined Forest for £2.4mil, Fitz Hall joined Watford for £575k.

Had a lovely amount of money to spend, my targets were a right back, a holding midfielder and a forward trio, AML, AMR, ST, plus cover at left back, hopefully a young AMRLC, and a striker.

I've had a good summer, to start off I signed At. Madrid defender Leandro Cabrera for £1.5mil, he's to replace Bamba (could do with another centre half to be honest), he can play at left, looks a good buy with decent potential to push for the first team, young Czech 'keeper Petr Novotny joined for £200k, aged 18, following an ever-present season at Mlada Boleslav, he'll be good cover for Smithies for absolutely years.

My first signing of real interest, it was perfect, despite performing well in the Man City side, Yohan Cabaye was available for £2.9mil, had a bid accepted and he signed for us over Sunderland and Schalke following me currying the agents favour with a lovely fee for him, horrible way to do transfers IRL but love it on FM, saved me a shit load of money and solved one of our problems, I'll be very disappointed if he isn't a top player for us.

The 4th bloke I got in, may be a pretty laughable decision - but Lee Novak. He's developed a fair bit, he was available for £925k, he won L1 top goalscorer and his work rate is 20, he'll be a top sub IMO, cheap alternative, he won't get much game time but when he does I'm sure he'll chip in with a few and push teams back a bit.

The 5th was my most exciting signing of the season, was very surprised when I had £7.5mil accepted for him; Jano. Joined from Spartak Moscow, £15k a week wages, top fvcking notch, I don't think he'll dick the league instantly, but I feel he will long term, in a season or two he'll be one of the best midfielders in the league, he'll fill in at AML.

I bagged Ryad Boutebouz from Sochaux, also £7.5mil. He'll be my right winger, he should perform for us, would be very disappointed if he doesn't.

I got two loanees in, in the same day, Juan Iturbe as my AMRLC cover and Jack Robinson at left back following his 7.64 season on loan at Cov, they'll make great cover I feel.

My eighth isn't yet complete - Sergio Araujo from Boca, £5mil accepted, £20k a week accepted, work permit still pending, got a very bad feeling. I swear they fail the ones that really would be superb signings, as he'll be one of the best forwards on the game I feel.

My right back though I've not yet sorted, Gaston Diaz' £4mil move was fvcked by a work permit.

If we sign a good right back and Araujo, I reckon we'll make the top 8.

Did the treble. Genoa were beaten in the CL final, a really good team on my game.

A tycoon is looking to buy the club apparantly, and I'm moving into a new ground next season too.
